1. Yarralumla Bay
Offering a designated swimming enclosure and platforms, along the generous sandy beach.
2. Cotter Bend
A great natural swimming hole. There's a wide pool and sandy beach where Cotter River and Paddys River meet.
3. Weston Park
A sheltered bay offering a designated swimming beach which is protected from the wind making it the perfect place to swim & relax.
Australian Capital Territory Top Bike Locations
1. Stromlo Forest Park
A unique bike experience with options for all abilities and all forms of cycling; including BMX, mountain-biking, road-cycling and family routes.
2. Lake Burley Griffin Bike Path
There are a series of bike loops around the lake, suitable for both road and mountain bikes. Make a day of it and explore the landmarks along the way.
3. Sparrow Hill
A 14km singletrack mountain-bike loop through the pine forest. Fast and free flowing, and rated as moderately challenging.
4. One Tree Hill
The climb up to One Tree Hill is very challenging, but it's short and the views from the top are worth the effort.

1. Belconnen Skate Park
One of the best parks in Australia, home to the iconic 'Belco Bowl', a 10ftkey hole bowl. It is free flowing, offering mini ramps, banks, a snake bowl, stairs and a volcano. It really has something for all levels.
2. Eddison Skate Park
A great skate part in Woden, perfect for skaters that enjoy an open flow with transition and street features.
3. Gungahlin Skate Park
One of the older parks in ACT, but offers as much fun with smaller crowds. Bowls, street features and quarters provide options for all levels.
4. The Yard Skate Park
The only park in the centre of Canberra, its small but packs a lot in. There's a mini ramp, curved bowl extension and small street section. Check out the graffiti walls close by!
5. Tuggeranong Skate Park
This park has some of the best vert ramps Australia has to offer. Fun for all ages and nestled right next to the lake for a beautiful view. BBQs and a play park are also just metres away.
