Dixon's artwork draws parallels between this parrot, one of only three migrating parrot species, and the Phoenix, symbolizing survival, opportunity, and abundance for all who call South East Melbourne home. The parrot, with fewer than 100 left in the wild, reminds us to protect our environment and its creatures.
