Portraying Mundarlbi, a reef on the Mornington Island, the North Queensland Cowboys 2023 Indigenous Jersey pays homage to the traditions, land and people of the region. Mundarlbi is a traditional dance representing waves trying to wash the reef away with the reef remaining strong. Closer to the Cowboys it is also a traditional Lardil song dreamt by Cowboys senior songman Cecil "Ngawalin" Goodman before his passing. It's meaning hard rock representing the resilience of the club. The jersey serving as a dedication to him.
