One use and front already scratched

Used it once and I already scratched the glass. I thought it would be more durable as you use it for sports. My Apple Watch doesn’t have a scratch and it is over 3 years old. Haven’t really used it since cause the scratch bothers me

Outstanding All-Around Smartwatch!

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 fulfills every functionality I desired in a smartwatch. It's reliable, feature-rich, and built to last. It excels at doing the important things exceptionally well, which is why I bought it. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, comprehensive smartwatch that won't break the bank. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. This watch has exceeded my expectations in every way. Thank you, Garmin!

Well - it does keep time. And step count seems good. HRV is okay I think. It is very poor at detecting heart rate when exercising. I could be 15 minutes into 120BPM (Garmin chest strap) and it still reads 72. The sleep scores often bear little relationship to reality - like says I woke at 4:30 when I slept soundly until 6:30. Battery life, on the other hand, is excellent. My first one would not charge after a 18 months. Replacement is charging fine so far.

Changed out from older, more bulky version. Size is perfect, display vivid, and has all the bells whistles I need. Battery life seems longer as well. 4⭐️s from this, user.

My first Vivoactive 5 was great! Unfortunately I broke the screen and Garmin offered me a discounted replacement if I sent the old one back. The replacement one is complete garbage and won’t stay connected to my phone. I think it may have been a refurbished watch with existing issues.

I decided to get a watch after 4 years of running without, and it is a big upgrade. If you are looking for a workout watch this one is pretty solid.

Very happy with vivoactive 5 . Had it for 2 weeks. I like the size, customization of features. Accuracy seems good. I do question calorie burn as compared to Fitbit. I like intensity minutes tracking at a glance. Overall, happy with purchase.

I was needing a new watch and was needing one that I could wear while playing ice hockey. Really enjoy that added activity on this watch while still having all the other features I had on my previous Garmin watch.

New Garmin Watch…..

Its only OK… seems to require a lot of setting and telling it what i want it to do ( why do I have to tell it I am on a bike when ( for example it is supposed to be talking to Strava). The app requires a fair amount of work to get to the recoded numbers and recording and keeping them accessible is a work out… Maybe Ill learn more as it goes, but today I would go back to my Casio GShock and not miss a beat

I’ve been a Fitbit devotee since they came out, but all the changes had made me want to find something else. I’m glad I did! I love my Garmin Vivoactove5. The features and app are great! I love the ease of use. The alarm, tracking and workout options are fantastic

Very difficult to navigate numerous options

Not really happy with this watch. A and B keys are erratic in their responses. Lack of a manual with diagrams biggest downer. Web site gives insufficient instructions. Way too many options and each option often has further options. Can't get the activities to perform the way I want. sometimes I spend 10 minutes just trying to get back to the main screen

A Solid Upgrade for Battery Life and Health Tracki

I recently switched from an Apple Watch to the Garmin Vivoactive 5, primarily because I was frustrated with the short battery life of the Apple Watch. After using the Vivoactive 5 for a few weeks, I can confidently say the switch has been worth it — though not without a bit of a learning curve. What I love: Battery Life: This is hands down the biggest win. I can go several days without charging, even with regular activity tracking, sleep monitoring, and notifications turned on. It’s incredibly freeing not having to top it up every night. Sleep Tracking & Coaching: Garmin's sleep tracking is far more detailed and helpful than what I had before. The sleep coaching feature gives useful insights and suggestions that feel actionable instead of just data for data’s sake. Customization & Watch Faces: There’s a great selection of watch faces, and I appreciate how customizable the watch is overall. It feels like it can be truly tailored to your preferences and lifestyle. The trade-off: Steeper Learning Curve: With all the features and data Garmin offers, there’s definitely a learning curve. The interface and menu system aren’t always intuitive, and I’m still discovering new functions weeks later. If you're coming from a more simplified system like Apple’s, expect a bit of an adjustment period. Final Thoughts: If you're someone who prioritizes battery life, in-depth health tracking, and customization, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a strong contender. It’s not quite as plug-and-play as the Apple Watch, but once you get the hang of it, the benefits are absolutely worth it.

Vivoavtive 5

I bought the Vivoactive 5 about a month ago because my Vivoactive 3 died. The reason I purchased this model was for the stair counter. I spent many hours looking for the activity on the watch and googled it several times. Finally found on a Garmin owner forum that it is no longer on the watch and Garmin did not remove it from the list on the website. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Other than the stair counter, I really like the new watch.

Happy with my change

I bought this a month ago as I was getting tired of my apple watch and the battery hold and appearance. I wanted something that looked better and was light weight. While I am still trying to figure certain features out with this watch, I do like it over the apple watch. The long battery life and design is appealing. I am still trying to find the right face as the one I like will only display time and date and not other options, so being able to add more would be great. I have been recommending this to all my friends.

I bought this after a friend suggested I get one and I am glad I listened. I literally only take it off when I shower and to charge it. My Apple Watch wouldn’t last through a 12 hour shift but my Garmin lasts all week. Love love love it.

I bought this watch mainly to keep track of my health however, it is not user friendly, more difficult when the button does not respond very well to my presses. I'm still debating to return it or continue learning how to use it. I just like having alternative watch other than I-watch.

Just what I was looking for!

After my last Apple Watch (my third) needed charging every few hours, I decided to shake things up and try something new. The Vivoactive 5 was recommended to me by a family member and I have had it for a couple of weeks and could not be happier with it. Awesome features, light weight, and the tracking and health data are amazing. All this plus more at a fraction of the cost.

The color Lilac is perfect. The additional features add a much broader use than my Vivo 4. The larger face is perfect. Recommend adding "c" adapter for charging to PKG. At this price expect it to be complete!

I bought this mainly due to some health issues that I’ve been having and needed to be able to check my heart rate. I’ve had the opportunity to compare the heart rate versus monitor and it is very accurate, no complaints at all with this aspect. But to track these I have everything running in the background and can get barely two days out of the battery. Besides the issue for me it does everything it should and the price point was very reasonable.

I absolutely love this watch! I got mine on Monday and ordered my husband one Tuesday. Great battery life, lightweight but built very well, fitness, health tracking, and some bells and whistles. You can even respond to texts as it will pull up a keyboard. I previously had another brand and loved it, but love this one even more. You can choose different clock faces (large selection) right from your watch. The app is great too!

I wish the blue tooth connection was longer

I really like the Garmin Vivoactive 5. I switched from the apple watch because I prefer a round face. It does everything that I wanted in a smartwatch. I can't respond to a text or answer a call, but those things are not a deal breaker for me. I only wish the blue tooth connection reached farther. It says 10 meters....it is more like 10 feet. That is somewhat annoying. The garmin is significantly cheaper than the apple watch, too.

A loss of connection is usually due to walking away from your phone and beyond Bluetooth range which is approximately 30 feet (10 meters). The effective range is reduced when the signal has to pass through certain objects. Materials like glass, wood, metal, concrete or water can alter the signal strength of a Bluetooth connection. Interference from other wireless signals such as other Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi, or devices running on the 2.4GHz frequency can also affect range. Your watch should automatically establish a connection when you're back near your phone and within Bluetooth range. If you have Connected Alerts enabled, you can disable them by holding the bottom-right button and selecting Settings > System > Connectivity > Phone > Connected Alerts. (KS)

This watch does everything. Battery asts WAY longer than any Apple Watch.
