Perfect Companion 4 a Connected and Active Life

As an owner of the Garmin Instinct 2, I can confidently say this smartwatch has exceeded my expectations and become an indispensable part of my daily life. It's a device that perfectly balances rugged durability with essential smart features, all while delivering a battery performance that is simply a game-changer. One of the standout features for me is the seamless synchronization with my phone. The process was straightforward, and ever since the initial setup, the connection has been flawless. I get all my important notifications—calls, texts, and app alerts—right on my wrist, which means I no longer have to constantly pull out my phone. This has been a huge boost to my productivity and allows me to stay connected without being glued to a screen. However, the real star of the show is the battery life. It's truly fantastic. I've been consistently impressed by how long a single charge lasts, even with regular use of features like GPS, heart rate monitoring, and smartphone notifications. This incredible longevity frees me from the anxiety of needing to find an outlet every night. Whether I'm on a long hike, a weekend trip, or just going about my normal routine, I know my Instinct 2 will be ready to go. The solar charging capability on some models is an added bonus, offering the potential for virtually unlimited battery life in certain conditions—a feature that truly sets the Instinct 2 apart in the market. Beyond these key features, the watch itself is built to last. The rugged design and durable materials make it ideal for anyone with an active lifestyle. I've worn it during intense workouts, outdoor adventures, and everything in between, and it has held up without a single scratch. In conclusion, the Garmin Instinct 2 is more than just a smartwatch; it's a reliable partner for anyone who values both a connected life and a love for the outdoors. The perfect synchronization with my phone and the absolutely fantastic battery life make it a top-tier choice that I highly recommend.

I love this watch so much, I bought the same model to replace the one I smashed. It is somewhat basic by today's standards, but it has everything I want and need and then some. Great watch. Very durable and reliable.

Watch is durable and does everything It advertises well. The best feature besides telling you the time is its sleep tracking. I don’t know exactly how accurate it is but it seems to be pretty good. Tracks your vital signs for long periods of time for you to measure your health. Can give you gps coordinates, the battery lasts a long time. I recommend this watch for any outdoors person.

Easy to set up and very comfortable. Lots of info and has many settings and watch faces. Almost unbelievable as to how long one charge lasts. My wifes apple watch onlt last 1/5 of the time on a charge.

I bought this a month or so ago and the battery life has been good. But I don’t get to wear it as much because it keeps leaving a red rash or burn looking mark on my wrist where it sits. I have no idea why as I clean it everyday and still it keeps happening

Not great for hiking

I bought this a year ago and it is not accurate at all. The compass is off by a lot of degrees and the gps tracker is not accurate. I have had great experiences with garmin in the past and am dissatisfied in the instinct 2. The other features of the watch are great, but garmin needs to solve these problems.

Most useful watch I've ever had!

This watch is great. I love the amount of features. I love the tracking of both elevation and steps. I get a lot more exercise at work than I thought. I love the sleep monitor. Apparently I get more good sleep than most of my coworkers. I love the heart rate monitor that allows me to practice breathing and relaxing techniques to actively lower my heart rate. I only wish there were an option to track my ketone levels. That would be an awesome addition if someone could make that happen. Lastly, I love the changeable faces. I installed a free one that is amazing, and I can change what is visible as I change my interests. 5 stars.

I recently got my Garmin Instinct 2 watch & so far I’m using it to help me with monitoring my health in my recent retirement. It has a lot of features that I plan on using but using it for time, heart rate & steps is satisfying. I’m looking forward to using it’s features this watch has so I’ll be busy.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was looking for a simple/basic watch that could record metrics of activities, and that's what I got. Didn't want/need smart features (my phone is sufficient for that) I thought it would be a bit expensive for what it was (still not worth full retail), but pleasantly surprised with its offerings. I was concerned that it would be slow/laggy and that operating the watch via buttons would be clunky or complicated -- the watch is not slow and the usage of buttons is intuitive and it was quick to pick up (took a few days to develop muscle memory). I was also genuinely surprised at the depth of information that the Garmin mobile app provided (from the data recorded on the watch). I'm not an expert in any related field, but the data and subsequent reporting/visualization seems very consumable to the end user. With activity every other day - the watch lasted almost 2 weeks for its full charge (100 -> 0). (I will probably move to a once/week charging schedule).

Had been Apple Watch user bought this on sale to try out Garmin and I love it! Love all the metrics like the body battery and the training readiness. Only thing I don’t like is having to click to toggle through the menu. Definitely plan on splurging for the touch screen forerunner down the road.

The best part is that it can function without google telemetry. Although, it's tuff to know how bad google has infected everything. That said, I like how it allows me to customize it with the features that fit my goals and set aside the other parts. And if my goals change, the watch is customizable.

I bought the watch on a whim, I was considering a G-Shock but noticed this was on sale at a similar price and with far more features, a great display and a similarly rugged and comfortable build, so I took the plunge. My previous smart watch experience pretty much begins and ends with the Pebble way back when, and I loved it, but have been put off by poor battery life on smart watches since. This lasts a month on a charge, or tries to, I would say closer to three to three and a half weeks, but even then, that more than gives peace of mind in not having to baby it. It has a dizzying array of activity and outdoors functions, built in GPS, albeit with very basic mapping, and a solid ABC sensor array that puts my Suunto to shame. I hadn't considered it on purchasing, but there are a large number of watch faces to download too, and some familiar creator names from the Pebble days. Yeah, grab one, they're really good.

The standard Instinct 2 is an excellent workhorse smartwatch, and as there's higher end models and newer versions available, I was able to get mine for a bargain. I thought I was going to use mine as mainly a notification tracker, but while it works well as just that, the watch also gets better the longer you leave it on. Sleep and recovery trackers can warn you if you need to take it easy on a given day, and goal markers popping up as you hit your steps and stairs are a nice little boost to the mood. GPS location is an amazing feature that I haven't gotten to use properly yet, but I'm glad it's there. Honestly, I'm just glad this watch has five usable buttons - I wear my watches on my dominant hand, and a button is easier to mess with than a touchscreen. In summation? I love my Instinct 2, so much I may need to find time to take breaks and let it charge, rather than just wear it all the time!

Hello I got this for Father's Day everything is ok but after the first night my sleeping is not recording and do I let it run out before recharging it. I was charging it before it runs out but it was only giving me like 27 hours before it runs out. I accidently ran it out recharged it and it went back to 12 days before it runs out right now at this hour it says 4days left.so if you can help me with that it would be great. Over all love it
