The Garmin Forerunner 970 GPS Smartwatch is designed for both performance and convenience, offering up to 15 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 26 hours in GPS-only GNSS mode. Built to withstand the elements, it is water-rated to 5 ATM for durability in wet conditions. With a built-in speaker and microphone, you can make and take phone calls directly from your watch when paired with your smartphone. It also features a built-in LED flashlight for added visibility. The Garmin ECG app helps monitor heart health by recording electrical signals and analyzing them for signs of irregular heart rhythms like atrial fibrillation (AFib). The running tolerance feature provides insights into the impact each run has on your body and offers a recommended weekly mileage to avoid overexertion. Additionally, running economy tracks your energy efficiency during runs by analyzing long-term running volume, stride length, and step speed loss, helping you optimize performance when paired with the HRM 600 monitor (sold separately).
