I bought two of these for my sons for football (one 2 years ago and the other this year) - they highly recommend them. Based on what they've told me, the compression short is comfortable, stays in place, and doesn't ride up. The cup is more comfortable than other brands and designs they've worn in the past. The cup and compression short combo is as comfortable as can be with having to wear a cup. It definitely provides protection and keeps them safer in their nether parts. They'll be using the compression short with a softer cup for jiu jitsu, as well.

My boys prefer these briefs for their athletic use. I wish that we could find them without the given cups, as the are young and prefer a soft cup. They are true to size: my 60 lb 7 yo is in a sm, my 103 lb 11 yo prefers the youth xl.

After wearing the previous 221 where the cup would shift around, I was skeptical at first. The revised 221 does a really nice job of keeping my jewels intact, even without a cup. The plastic cup is there for peace of mind while I wear these shorts!

uncomfortable cup and pouch

I really like the compression shorts. I found that it very difficult to get the protective cup into the pouch so that the cup full goes into it. I appears that the pouch is too small causing the not to go completely into the pouch. This makes the cup sit too high and I found this uncomfortable and annoying.

Bought this mainly for the patriotic design. I never had a cup compression short before. I am not thrilled with the cup part. I just don't feel the cup is held tight in position like a typical jock/cup at the bottom. I was afraid it just would not hold things in place. No big deal. I just used a Core Supporter with cup underneath. Guess I am just old fashion and like a jock with leg straps to hold the cup firm in place.

LOVE THE CUP SIZE

I recently purchased the Shock Doctor Core Compression Short with Bioflex Cup. I love the larger cup size and that is exactly why I chose Shock Doctor over other brands. Many other cups that I have worn were just too small and cramped for me, so I really appreciate the comfort of a larger size cup. I do think I would prefer a harder cup, but this is okay. The shorts are very comfortable, cool and well made too. My only real complaint is the position of the cup pocket and keeping the cup in its proper place. I've only worn it in two games so maybe I'll get used to it, but for now I seem to be making a lot of cup adjustments on the field.

Well made however, the sizing is terrible. I have a 36 inch waste so got the XL, cup has to be re-positioned every time I move.

These compression shorts fit better than my previous pair. Them seem to be of better quality and expect the durability to be superior to my old ones (3 years). As a high school umpire I need my “stuffâ€ to stay in place and these shorts do exactly that in a comfortable manner while maintaining protection

I recently purchased my son a pair of Core Compression Short with Bio-Flex Cup and it fits perfectly and he does not complain about wearing his cup any longer! I have not received a single complaint from him and he now willingly puts his cup on. Thank you Shock Doctor.
