The iconic Halo V2 Down Jacket from Macpac is a warm, compact all-rounder - perfect for urban adventure, travel, hiking and camping. Filled with 600 loft Responsible Down Standard (RDS) duck down and featuring elasticated cuffs and an adjustable hem, this jacket works to keep you warm by trapping heat against your body.

The lightweight nylon outer and lining fabrics are bluesign® certified, with a short-chain C6 water repellent finish on the outer to protect the down from moisture. A separate stuff sack is included for convenient storage when packing your bags for the next adventure. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) is an independent, voluntary global standard in the ethical sourcing of down and feathers. All our down is 100% RDS certified. Similarly, bluesign® certification confirms these fabrics have been manufactured with the responsible use of resources.

Brisbane winters are not cold enough to wear this jacket, so I haven't worn it yet, but I have tried it on. It looks well-made and packs into its inside pocket into a small bag, so it's great to take travelling, which is why I bought it. It keeps you very warm, for such a light jacket. No need to layer up, or resort to wearing a puffer jacket that makes you look like the Michelin man.

I put off getting one of these dumb puffer jackets for so long because I didn't want to look like every other person. Then I got the jacket. I wear the jacket all the time now. Morning. Work. Evenings. In bed. It's that good. I wear the RM boots with it to work, as is tradition. I look like everyone else but I'm okay with that. Get the jacket.
