Bought this yesterday. Absolutely woefully inadequate instructions to put it together. Will need to go back to Rebel and seek support. I have put bunk beds, loft beds, bookcases etc together - WITH ADEQUATE INSTRUCTIONS - so I know what adequate instructions look like. This is pathetic.

Very easy to pick up - comes in a surprisingly small and light box I thought. Very easy to assemble - getting the last pole section on probably the hardest bit as it's so tall! But just laid it down and it was easy enough. Once we filled the base with water it is very stable but still easy to move around. My daughter loves it!

Some Frustrating Design Flaws

A few design flaws impacting it's overall functionality. First hoop I have owned where the alternate heights are not marked with holes for the bolt to screw into, this makes adjusting the pole to the correct height a more tedious process. In addition to this, the hoop is able to shift side to side after each shot as there is no hole to securely fix it in place. This is quite frustrating from a practice standpoint as I am needing to constantly stop and realign the hoop after every few shots, this is an issue that has never occurred on any of my previous hoops, all of which have been of a similar price point, I would expect better reliability from Gilbert as a brand.

Very basic netball stand - only good for beginners

The base is pretty solid/steady however the stand itself is too flimsy and it is way way too wobbly. The top section with the ring also will not stay in the fixed position no matter how hard to you tighten the knob and keeps rotating sideways when it gets hit with the ball. It is OK if you have a beginning or junior player and can have it at the shorter height.

Putting this together was not easy. The tools provided were inadequate, and my husband had to bend some of the fittings to make it fit. Not happy. If I was on my own, it would have been impossible! There should also be markings on the pole to show the junior height and the adult height rather than me measuring and guessing. But in saying all that, my 8 yr old loves it and is using it any spare second she gets. It is so easy to move (my 8 year old can even move it) which is a massive plus!

Simple to assemble. Best to fill with sand versus water given water can leak if puncture were to happen. Needs to be placed on hard surface and not on organic material like grass. One bolt, the chrome was incomplete with corrosion.

good netball hoop. would be better if it locked in better. even the locking nut fully tightened the hoop can turn off center. also if it had the standard hoop height marked on the post would be better

Kids absolutely love this netball ring. It's let them go outside far more often to play. Stable base filled with water, doesn't move at all. Really high quality build. The net itself is also really high quality. Can't fault, so much better than any other netball ring I've seen.
