Great watch.

I purchased this watch almost a month ago. This is my first smartwatch. I had a Fitbit for 2 days before taking it back getting the instinct 2. This watch was more my style and much more user friendly imo. I use this watch for my workouts and walks. My wife has a Fitbit and the Instinct 2 is way more accurate. Also the connect app works great with apple health. With the Fitbit I had to use 2 separate apps to sync it with apple health which was annoying. The watch has great battery life which is a big plus. I would definitely recommend this watch.

Love this watch! I really like the fact that I don't have to think about charging it. It helped me get back on track with my training. Also, love the richness of data in different categories. I wish I had bought it earlier.

I bought this to replace my Instinct Tactical that was approximately 8+ years old. I bought an Apple Watch Series 10 but didn’t like having to charge the battery daily! Gave that to my son!

Battery life is great. Features are nice. Intuitive to use.. It is annoying that the charge cable is proprietary, it would be nice to be able to plug it in to a more common cable end.

I had the Instinct 1, and I just got the Instinct 2. Really like the watch. Seems to be much better at tracking my heart rate than the Instinct 1.

This watch is very rugged and durable, not even needing a case for it. It was worth it's weight on my last deployment, withstanding the dust/sand storms while providing a great resource for my rucking and running training. Battery life will be about half of the 28 days it says it's good for if you're recording activities. This watch can be for anyone, whether you've worn an apple watch for a while or any other brand and want a change.

Really enjoying the watch

Bought the watch as a “next step” from the Fitbit Charge 6 fitness tracker. Really enjoying the additional features and look of the watch. Like that I can change the face of the watch to suit my data interests. Does need some getting used to but once I gained an understanding of all the watch has to offer and how to scroll through the metrics I am pleased with my purchase.

Instinct 2 One of the Best

This is the second review I'm submitting on the Instinct 2. This is the absolutely best watch I've bought to support my golf game and maintain health statistics. It is easy to use and easy to read. Great watch.

I really love the Instinct 2. Wish the standard edition came in Jet Black, but there are a lot of band options. Great job Garmin.

obviously, as will most Garmin items, this watch comes with lots of bells and whistles already turned on. After setting the watch up to they way you want it, it's even better. Got the watch about 2 weeks ago. Ran some training and finished a marathon already. Love this thing, and I had a Fenix 5 prior to this that lasted me 6 years and multiple marathons.

I cannot download apps from Connect IQ

I bought this watch 3 weeks ago. It works fine, but I cannot download apps and watch faces from Connect IQ. That is supposed to be a key benefit of a Garmin watch. Support told me that this is a known issue that the engineers are working on.

Great Throwback Watch That Does It All

i purchased this watch last month and I came from briefly owning an Apple 10. I have no need for lots of the features on the Apple Watch and find myself wasting even more of my time scrolling through the watch as well as my phone. I am trying to simplify and this Instinct 2 is perfect because it gives me all the info that I need and allows me to see the screen because it is always on. The battery life is amazing and so nice to have no need for constantly having to stick in a charger. I just charge it every week to top it off and I am good to go!

Exactly what I was looking for

This Smart Watch is exactly what I was looking for in a watch. I have a Garmin Approach S1, a Garmin Vivomove HR, and an Approach S20. Each one of these watches provided information that I wanted to keep track of, but they couldn't do both the golf and health stats at the same time. Then came along the Instinct 2 and this watch does everything. From giving me a morning report, to tracking my sleep, tracking just about everything going and above all I can wear it for Golf. I love it and wish I would have come across this earlier. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a Health and Sport watch all in one.

I like it but I can’t find treadmill walks. I can’t run and I need treadmill walks instead of treadmill runs. If anyone can tell me how to get that much appreciated.

Wow - so much data

Got as a replacement for Garmin 935 going on the Fritz after 7 yrs. Based on comparison the Instinct 2 had all the features needed for an Ironman triathlon and more than my old 935. Defiantly pleased with all the data options, battery life and ease of use. Only downfall is I can’t get an aftermarket screen protector to stick. I used one for 7 yrs with the 935 and the screen stayed perfect; likely to scratch on the Instinct 2 without protection.

Ireally like this watch it does so many things most of which I'm to old to really get into. I do wish you made a cheat card so you can find the uses you want. I use mine more for health checks which is great plus weather and alarms. The messaging is also fantastic

Cheapest with long battery life

This is my fourth Garmin watch- the first one 12 years ago, the battery went after a few years. Then a used one, then a new Forerunner 45 in '21. Well, the battery died on that one so now I have the Instinct and I love it... - Battery, Battery, Battery. Love not having to worry about charging all the time and love that I have room for future degradation - Liking the features like sleep tracking, heart rate, customization, etc. - Love the display customization (hey- what's sunrise, sunset, temp?) So overall a nice improvement over my normal "cheapest watch I can get" and hope it lasts longer than three years.

This watch has a lot of health data that is very interesting to look into. The only downside is the O2 sensor. Beong on the wrist, it is always off by at least 3 or 4 points. Ill check the watch then check a finger O2 sensor and the watch is always off. Sometimes by 6 points

Just Wow - Upgraded from Garmin 935

After nearly 6 yrs my 935 started to act wonky. Got the Instinct 2 and must say the data available is AMAZING! only thing is the band connection to the watch is a bit stiff and doesn’t flex to my wrist as nicely as the 935. Overall fantastic purchase!

Very good, if you like to click a lot.

I purchased this watch after owning the original Instinct since it's introduction, 5 plus years ago, thus I expect more of the same, only better as the added sensor capabilities supplemented the data capture and analytics provided by the watch. One area I was hoping for was to end the frequent data and watch crashes, which were happening far to frequent with the original watch. I've had one data lock up and no watch-OS crashes so far, so that's better, but still concerning. (Minus 1/2 star) The number of activities available to track is really impressive and this watch retains the hiking record function, which many of the Garmins seem to be loosing. So that terrific. (plus one star) An area that went backwards, to my surprise, was the app navigation, I now have to depress the Enter/GPS button 4 to 5 times to complete an activity. That is really getting old fast. Even to get the watch to get out of sleep mode and through the morning report requires an annoying large amount of clicks. (minus 1 star) This by the way is how the watch can tell you are awake, otherwise sleep data struggles to determine if you are still asleep. (minus 1/2 star) Battery life can be extended if you agree to the power management enhancements they supply, but these negatively impact activities, so I've turned off a lot of them. It is REALLY hard to fully power up the watch, as it takes a very long time to get the watch fully charged. I guess letting it stay plugged in all night would be fine, except then you aren't getting the sleep analyses that's available. (minus 1 star for how long it takes to recharge the watch). On the plus side, the sleep analytics are pretty interesting (plus 1/2 star) and I find that Garmin Connect integrates with both Apple Health and in turn the Levels (plus 1/2 star) Overall, I think the Instinct 2 is one of the best buys offered by Garmin.

I received it as a gift. I hoped to use it with my dog tracking collar. I fiddled around with it, but I struggled to get the hang of which buttons to press to navigate my way through the features. In addition, I had to download 2 more garmin apps to my phone to communicate with it. Now I have 4 garmin apps on my phone to make all my garmin devices work. The garmin ecosystem is not yet cohesive enough for me. I returned it
