Good upgrade from earlier version

It's a nice upgrade from my Garmin Forerunner 630. The screen is probably the most outstanding feature. It also broadcast HR that is great with my bike trainer! The only downside is that in notifications, I can;t see the details of the text message or email.

I have been using this watch for several months now and it’s great. It’s comfortable to wear, has amazing functionality, a light bright screen, is super customisable and has really help me to keep track of and share my fitness progress which is very motivating. I purchased Garmin previously and was disappointed at that time, this purchase couldn’t be more different. I love it.

Unexpectedly comfortable.

This thing is very powerful, yada yada yada. GPS locks on fast and is accurate, heart rate seems pretty accurate, etc. The battery lasts a long time, even with the screen always on. The Garmin Connect phone app and web apps are good companions to the device. There's a wealth of information you can dig into if you're keen. Strava integration is seamless. What I didn't expect was how comfortable this is, especially with the included strap. The material is soft and pliable, and the adjustment steps are small enough so that you don't get caught between two holes. Adjusting the strap on the move is also pretty easy. I didn't expect to wear this to bed for sleep tracking, and long term I probably won't, but it's not bad at all considering the size and the sleep tracking does give some useful feedback, even if it isn't perfect.

I upgraded to this from my Forerunner 955 Solar. These top end Garmins are next level as far as fitness statistics compared to the generic smartwatches.. Make it much easier to stay fit & motivated and give you REAL statistics, not like others.
