I purchased the rubber hex and neoprene dipped dumbells, and prefer the neoprene dipped for comfort holding them as well as appearance. However the slimmer bar in the rubber hex is better if you have very small hands

Hexagonal heads are great to stop the weight moving around between sets. The rubber coating appears durable and solid. The chrome grip is a relatively thin coating, but for the price is acceptable quality. Overall very pleased
