Bowflex SelectTech 2080 Barbell Stand

I'm finding when I lift the full 120 lbs, the end plate falls off sometimes and is not properly secured . I have to take all the weights off and put back on. I've had to this maybe 5 times since purchase, and it only occurred on the one side . I purchased the stand and it works well for smaller incremental weights (under 60 lbs per side) any more and I almost have to gently push down on the stand for the weight bar to properly seed in the stand. The stand has been installed properly , and I've tightened both the bar weights and stand. Maybe it just takes some time with use for the weight bar to seed properly in the stand , time will tell I guess. I have a 10 year old pair of bowflex dumbbells that still function as good as new . Seems the weight bar is slightly inferior in workmanship to the the older bowflex 100 lb dumbbells . I have multiple bowflex products and quality for most is excellent , however this product is of a lower quality. The bar is a bit on flimsy side in comparison to the bowflex dumbbells . On a positive the bar set is a great space saver and I am using it, with caution. I'd recommend for casual / recreational use .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great stand. Very sturdy. The barbell sits very safely on it. I have dogs and cats and it makes me very comfortable having the weights on this stand. The only downside is the finish on the metal portion of the stand does scratch easily. Bowflex does advise you to lay down something on the floor before you assemble. I ignored that and got some scratches on mine. I would strongly suggest not skipping that part. Otherwise it is wonderful!

The shape of the weights are a bit awkward But overall it's decent the shape of the weights make the barbell want to spin in your hands But it would be nice to have a cushion come with it The weights are a bit sticky at first trying to move them but it gets better the more you use them

First storage just it says space saver, got rid of dumbells and stands functional love it

I really enjoyed the dumbbells for years and find the barbells are just as great. They just add a lot more options too my workout routine.

General workouts at home

So glad we purchased with our bowflex barbell set. Sturdy, takes up minimal space and so much easier getting the weights vs from off the floor. It's a must!

This product is awesome. It fits nicely in a compressed space and provides for many workout variations, especially since it comes with a curl bar and a straight bar and has the ability to go up to 120 lbs. The height is fantastic for a 6'2" male. The only awkward part about the weights is that they are rectangle and don't rotate at all making an awkward grip when pickup and returning the weights/bar back to the rack. Simple fix for me is to adjust the weights to desired weight, remove weight from rack be place on floor and adjust hands for optimal grip. Overall I would buy this product over every other on the market!

Easy change of the weight

After finally getting it together, it's definitely a well put together weight set . But it's definitely confusing to put together and was missing a lot of washers

I love it! Adds to my home gym where I don't have to go to the gym and have to wait to use the equipment.

This is a very helpful accessory to consolidate the equipment and get it at an appropriate height for use. However, for my unit some of the measurement s are off creating some tricks to using the base while adjusting and resetting the plates to ensure the are appropriately locked and discharged and reset. Additionally, it would be helpful to have bench press rack to enable setting up for movements safely and providing the opportunity to rack between sets. Currently, the rack cannot be used as you would a standard barbell rack, only for storage not really for use, which does not resolve the issue of safety during overhead movements such as the bench press

This is a great versatile piece of equipment. Well made. The weight racking is not as smooth as the dumbbells but it works! Love the stand.

I use it for multiple exercises

This is a great rack so you can utilize your 2080 bars to the fullest potential. It takes some dialing in to get the distance set but once it is, it's fine. I also bought the upgrade weight set and it's fantastic as well. #sweepstakes

I was watching Instagram and a trainer purchased the dumbbells. She works out from home in a bedroom. My situation is similar, but I really wanted the barbell and stand. Setup is easier when it's two people, but I set it up solo. It fit perfectly into my confined space in my bonus room. It's very easy to use. I absolutely love the stand. I put my iPad on it and play workouts that suit me.
