These are great socks but be aware that they are so tight that you will need to move your shoe size down. Awesome!

Balega used to make wonderful running socks called Hidden Cool. They were soft, breathable, and most important, not tight around the ankle. These Ultraglide are evidently closest to Hidden Cool, which seems no longer available. Not even close. These are too tight all around, especially too tight at the ankle, and not cushy.

A surprise, but more than satisfied

These socks have an amazingly soft feel. Surprisingly, I was expecting a much thinner sock than what I received, but I have run in warm and cold weather in these and they are perfect for both conditions. While I don't have a blister problem from running, I found the UltraGlide socks to deliver on every expectation. I now call these my favorite socks for longer trail runs (18+ miles).

I am obsessed with this sock. I bought two other styles but this is by far my favorite. It provides cushion in the right spots. I went for a run in the rain the other day and not only did I not get blisters but my feet were also the only part of me that stayed dry!

Balega sox hold up to washing better than any other brand I have tried - and I have tried many. They are by far the softest and stay soft. They cushion in the right areas without being too bulky. I use for running and walking.
