The return is not only handy for single free throw practice. We live on a sloping driveway and street. The directioned return is handy to reduce the number of times the ball has to be chased down the street. Very easy to fit.

This back atcha Basketball returner is excellent for limiting noisy bounces in your garden which annoy the neighbours! It also limits a ball bouncing out of the hoop randomly hitting something or going somewhere it’s not supposed to (like into your favourite plant pot and breaking it!)….Win win- We love it!!

Does not fit like in the instruction video

I purchased this to fit the Spalding 48" basketball ring, but it does not fit this model. You can't fit the return system correctly by following the instruction video. Once you do fit it, it does not sit properly and seat horizontal to the ring. It does however return the ball, instead of dropping to the back.

Not great for the Momentous EZ Assembly

The Back Atcha doesn’t fit on the Momentous EZ Assembly hoop rim support, so you have to attach it to the back of the rim itself. This means that the ball isn’t returned strongly, if at all. It may just drop slowly. It depends on how strongly you shoot and where you shoot from.

My only reason for three starts is that it doesn’t fit my ring (which is a standard ring), however, I was able to come up with a cable tie solution to make it work. Now I’ve Magivered a solution it works well. I can tell the plastic may mean that after a summer or two (it’s in direct weather) it won’t last, but for the price it’s still worth it.

disappointed

bought to use on our basketball ring in the front yard with high hopes so it was disappointing to attach to ring only to have the ball blow through the back atcha and drop to the ground so in my view not happy with the products sturdiness boys took it off on boxing day and chucked it in corner of yard soon to be in the landfill lesson learned . build is to flimsy

Doesn't work. I have it correctly installed on a Spalding hoop and it doesn't have enough spring power to actually return. Out of 50 shots the best case was it just slightly redirects the ball back to me. Most of the time the ball basically just pushes right past it to the ground. If I shoot directly at the thing, underneath the hoop, then it does get enough spring power to rebound to me. Tried with different size balls and I even took a slowmo video to verify all this. Returning it very soon. Don't waste your money.

My grandson is a 9 year old lover of basketball . He shoots baskets by himself all the time so I purchased the device to return the balls to him more efficiently. He is very happy with it. He did say he could not get it to effectively return a size 7 ball but with smaller balls it does a good job.

Basketball Return not for all hoops

Ideal for most basketball hoops but not all. It was a bit finicky to install as the hoop we have has a plate between the acrylic board and ring so the horizontal part of the contraption made it difficult to hook it onto the hoop, the concept is great, but it would've been ideal to mention it suits X hoops.
