Good solid board and ring combo

My hot tip to save you a ton of time when assembling. The board comes with parts for multiple installation options (roof, wall, pole etc). Read the manual right through first and identify the method you need first, then it’s quick and easy! You’ll be able to disregard most of the pages and just use the one or two for your installation. Great solid board, looks awesome, should last a long time by the feel of it.

the product is great but the assembly instructions are ambiguous

the actual quality of the product is very good but the instructions for assembly are less than adequate. I was able to utilise the knick knacks provided to achieve the end result but only after carefully considering each part and trying to figure out where it went. viewing a couple of You Tube videos helped and the small photo of the roof mounted back board on the front of the box provided more information than the whole "instruction" manual. That being said, my grandson loves it, it is firmly attached to my carport and it looks good. the young lady who assisted with the purchase was really helpful. Sorry, I cannot remember her name at the moment but I did give her a recommendation in an earlier email

Good product, however the instructions for fitting the universal bracket was lacking. I attached my to a wall that was 8 foot of the ground, but there was no way that bracket was going to be used without modification. Did my own modifications which included angle grinding and bending and it worked out well.

Really good quality, only issue i had was the universal mounting bracket for roofs, did not fit my roof and instuctions are quiet poor, after modifying it i got it to work after i threw the instuctions away and done it myself

Good backboard, Average bracket

The backboard is solid and seems to be built well. The mounting bracket is less impressive and was not big enough to fit the slope of my roof. Instructions are unclear and it appeared as if the items had been opened before and returned. I have no idea if I received all the parts as the instructions don’t specify lengths for any of the items.

Solid board but the bracket is wrong

The included universal mount looks super simple to use and would be if the backboard mounting frame design hadn’t changed. The fixing bars on the rear of the backboard are too wide for the bracket if you assemble it as suggested. Compare old photos to the new design. I’m pretty handy. My advice, throw the manual away and use your common sense to assemble or get a pro to do it. It still needs forcing a bit - not sure how that’ll compromise the structure longer term. Also, the board manual and bracket manual are different - neither work, by the way. Because of these issues, I’d recommend choosing a different manufacturer. Halfway through The process I definitely wish I’d made my own board from scratch - would have taken less time! I read the other reviews and thought, how hard can it be? The answer is, very hard if the frame doesn’t match the bracket. You’ll need your own wall fixings - they aren’t included.

I had an old rim which was dangling on the wall. This basketball board is attractive. I always play it everyday! It was easy to install and it was enjoyable to play. I definitely recommend buying it you will NOT regret this choice! It brings me happiness during this Covid-19.

Great backboard - but beware of the mount kits.

Great backboard but the roof kit is useless. Just beware The roof kit is made for American pitch roof which I read on another review so I was prepared for this. I had to fabricate my own steel mount and installed that into my roof so I could then bolt this backboard on using the wall mount supplied. In all it cost me about another $70 in materials, but I didn’t want a pole version due to space constraints so I am happy with this backboard in the end, it plays really well and it is sturdy.

If you are planing to mount this product on a wall or roof, then I don't recommend this product at all. The instructions don't fully explain how to actually mount on the wall/roof. The product description says "easily attach this unit to the desired wall or roof with the included mounting bracket..." - wrong. Does not explain how to attach to the roof, or supply the required equipment to do so. In the end, I have returned the product, and exchanged for a system with an included pole and base - very happy with the replacement item (Lifetime 44" MVP Basketball System)

The basketball ring is fine however we were told it would be easy to assemble. Please don't recommend that it is easy to assemble- it's not! Direction were pretty ordinary. Thankfully, once finally up, it's fine to use and working well.

Pretty complex, it turns out. This thing was so difficult to install and flimsy it was rediculously - I ended up throwing the instructions away. It looks good, but I wouldn't recommend it.

We were worried that it would not be big enough for our teenage son to use and bought this one as the 52 inch was sold out. The board was big enough. Just remember that whilst it includes the brackets, this does not include the mounting kit.
