These Shoes are so Narrow

I bought these shoes in a mens size 8.5 for my average size 11 year old son. They were so narrow and small. He could not tie the laces properly and the shoe tongue didn't cover the sides. It's too bad because the shoes look good, but just fit weirdly. Also, I think I may have received a returned shoe as the bottom sole grooves had some light dirt.

If looks can be deceiving

Great shoes and wonderful looks out of the package but totally different when you try to put them on. It’s very uncomfortable to get into the shoes, the opening is very small. Also the lace built and the holes are poorly designed so it’s difficult to loose the cuff. I was able to get one foot in, gave up on trying the other with the struggle involved.

Quality's the only issue

I have two pairs of these shoes and have loved every part from the fit to feel and performance, But the quality of material and build is terrible. After playing outside for less than 2 weeks, the shoe's front had split open into both pairs.

Kind of Clunky

As soon as I saw this shoe, I knew that it was what I wanted for the upcoming season. I tried them on and they fit to size and were decently padded. When I laced up for my first practice, the were very tight on the tongue and my feet started to hurt after a few minutes. Now I have learned to lace them very loose, but enough to keep them on my feet. They feel quite clunky like a brick on your foot and there isn't too much padding on the bottom, so my heels and knees began to hurt after a few practices. I have owned these for maybe 4 months and the materials are starting to fall apart slightly after about 3 uses a week for basketball only. I bought some LeBron's last year and will buy another pair for the upcoming AAU season.

Best shoe on the market

I got these in the beginning of January and have been competitively playing basketball in them since. They have amazing traction, and they don’t make my feet hurt like other shoes have in the past. I have broken every shoe that I’ve played in in the first month for the past 6 years, and have not broken these yet. Great shoe. I will be using Zoom Freaks for years to come.

Secure and supportive

Fits tight and stiff. I’d recommend going 1/2 size up. Good looking shoe. Shipping is slowwwww. If you need the quick, you may want to look elsewhere.

lacks grip

My 8th grade son got these for his AAU season. He wore a couple colorways of the Freak 1 last season and they were pretty good. He had a number of options for a pair of team shoes, and chose these based on looks and that he liked the Freak 1s last season. He said these are comfortable and fit true to size, but the grip is terrible. The lack of grip showed up during cuts, when the shoe would casually come to a stop after a few inches. As he's now on a pure travel team, the competition is pretty tough, and a slippery shoe just won't cut it. He also wears a new pair of XXXIV lows, which have superior grip. We are returning these for the new Kyrie low, hoping that will have better grip. The Freak 2s my son wore is the light gray/white version with the multi/camo outsole. We've experienced issues with Nike outsoles that have multiple colors, as they don't seem to last or perform as well as single color outsoles.

Great shoe

This is a good shoe, it runs true to size but for people with wide feet, id recommend they go up half a size. It is not as comfortable as a lebron 17 or 18, but easily better than other shoes. I have been using using these for two hours a day, 5 days a week, and i have had very minimal fraying. Overall I would easily recommend this shoe to anyone.

Uncomfortable shoes.

Had to buy insoles to get rid of the shin pain. Then in the game last night the sole tore away from the shoe on a cut and by luck I just tweaked my ankle and nothing more. Not a good effort on NIkes part with this shoe

FREAKY GOOD!

Nike Basketball has hit it out of the park with these. HUGE improvement from the Freak 1's. Nice comfortable snug fit, great support, and durable.
