Great pack, use a different bladder

I love this pack. I was looking for something with secure and deep pockets; this was it. The fit is perfect and I love all the points in the chest and sides where I can adjust the tightness. My only complaint about the pack itself is that the zip chest pocket could be a little bit taller to fit phones better. My iPhone fits, but not easily! And my phone is on the smaller side. Probably my favorite feature is the small zip pocket at the bottom of the back of the pack. I can open and close it without needing to take the pack off. I love that! The bladder that came with it is not great. The twist cap can be difficult to thread just right. I prefer the folding top bladder to the cap lid bladders because the cap ones don’t really allow you to flip it over to drain/dry quickly. Moisture gets stuck in the top of the bladder. The mouth piece doesn’t flow as well as other Nathan bladders, but that’s just a matter of preference. Lastly, the connection at the bottom of the bladder and the tubing is a twist. Other Nathan bladders have the tubing snap into the bladder, which I prefer. I ended up using my older Nathan bladder in this pack even though it’s a 2 liter and the one this came with is 1.5. It works fine. The spot where the bladder connects to the pack via Velcro strap doesn’t match with my 2 liter bladder either, but that honestly works fine also. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. I needed more functional pockets and comfort, and that’s what I got. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the bladder issue. It’s not a big deal to me since I have spare bladders. However, I would be a bit disappointed if I didn’t have spares and had to buy a separate one.

Immedately started to fall apart

Overall it works just fine. The pockets started to give after 2 uses and the bungee that tightens one of the pockets comepletly broke on my 3rd run. Not built to last unfortunately.

great color, functional and lot of space

like the green, it does not leak, works well and has lots of pockets. I used to carry water belt, but this has worked well for my 20 mile runs and holds so much water. Love it so far. gave up the belt as it used to chaff me. you can even put a phone and has lots of slots. seems pretty good quality. Only gripe is you kind of have to really suck to get water out, but not at all negates how great this is.

Happy

Ran up to 24km. No chaffing. Does exactly what I need it to. I am having trouble getting the plastic taste out of the bladder. I assume this is the same with most hydration packs.

Extra zippered pocket a plus

Pretty risky giving Nathan another try. Last hydration pack did not hold up very well, this one however, was much better. I loved having the extra zippered pocket which was large enough to hold some snacks. Will be using this for skiing as well.

Satisfied

This was a gift to my wife, but she seems to like it. She's training for a marathon and this pack allows her to keep nutrition and fluid for her long runs.

I don’t love where the adjustable straps fall and wish the shoulder straps themselves were adjustable

Comfortable and fine.

It's really comfortable to wear. I wear it on 15+ mile runs and like the phone pocket, pouch for gels, and other things. I rides well, no rubbing or chaffing. I do find it hard to drink from. I have to suck really hard, so it makes it difficult to catch my breath and drink. Also, when I first used it, it leaked everywhere and I lost most of my water. Then I checked and the connection of the hose to the bladder wasn't inserted correctly. I tightened it and it's worked fine ever since.

Great fit on a SUP

It’s was perfect for me during Chattajack SUP race, the pockets filled with snack kept me on the move. Easy change out at mile 20. Never was in my way or limiting my mobility.

Leaks nonstop

Leaks nonstop where the hose meets the bladder. Tested it by hanging it upright and sealed overnight and the entire bladder had leaked onto my garage floor overnight. Don’t buy this until they fix this issue!

Comfortable out of the box

Very comfortable from day one. Somethin unexpected being someone new to hydration vests. Needed to modify a few things after using the first time. Bladder slots that attach it to the vest ripped on the first run. Bladder did not leak but was held up in position. Nathan sent me a free replacement which I duct taped before using and no rips. Cheers for sending me a free no hassle replacement. Hose end holder doesn’t really hold it on the mouth peace end. Added a magnetic kit to that end, easy fix. Great best that lacks a few features that would be nice, bladder durability is suspect.

Not a 4 liter pack

Actually a 1.5 liter pack then add 2.5 liters of bottles. Should have a 2 liter bladder with the option to purchase a second 2 liter bladder. Then you could call it a 4L. Poor design for a 6 foot tall person. Needs adjustable shoulder straps to lower it from around your neck and keep it from sliding no matter how tight you cinch around your torso. Great for a shorter adult or a child.

Great and comfortable hydration pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack is perfect. Hold all my fuel and gear plus all the water I need plus some. Light weight and comfortable to wear without a shirt. My only complaint is that the little cinch pocket broke immediately. Pocket still works for a phone though.

Great for short to medium distances

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hydration vest is great for short to medium distances whether you're running or hiking. It's lightweight, breathable and comfortable with adjustable straps for a perfect fit. It's one main front pocket fits my large iPhone and the other side fits a water bottle. The storm green/brzy blue colorway is very nice!
