The Thumb Stabiliser is comfortable to wear and it’s light in weight, as well as not too chunky and it’s not easy to put on and take off. Not too many straps.

Excellent stabilisation splint. Fits snug.

I’m a dragon boat paddler. After a long day of racing at a local regatta my thumb tendon blew. To stabilise the thumb during the period before I could get into my hand Physio, I purchased this splint. It also was excellent to use during my next regatta two weeks later as the plastic splint my physio made rubbed and gave me terrible blood blisters. I was very grateful I had it to use as an alternative splint to my physio made one. Def stabilised the thumb. I’m a 50 year old woman with petite hands but I needed the L/XL size as the thumb hole was very tight on the S/M. The thumb hole is not adjustable.

Makes everything feel better except…

Bought this today, I have De Quervain’s synotendonitis. It helps but even with the large/extra large the thumb piece still feels like it’s cutting off circulation. I can’t get it situated so it doesn’t with the strap attached. The small/medium fit great except in the thumb, which is why I sized up and I still can’t get it quite right.

Good for the thumb, not so good on the wrist

This helped keep my thumb relatively immobile to aid recovery. There is a sturdy strip of plastic inside the foam to keep the thumb straight. The sturdy strip was pressing against my wrist bone and this pressure created quite a bit of pain after some hours of wear and swelling. My physio had to put some foam strips to relieve the pressure.

had a broken bone on top of my thumb this was one of afew products which covers the top part. looks nice and good material I loosen it when go to bed and comfortable enough to have it on during sleep

For this hand brace I needed support very badly for the wrist And My thumb, it Was dropping Because I push a wheelchair All the time Being disabled.This product relieved a lot of pain pushing this wheel chair. Also he gave me strength when I walk To grip the crutches,I do recommend this product I don't think you would be disappointed

This is the forth time I purchase a thumbgaurd and I have finally found the right one. It's perfect! I have a triger finger problem on my right hand. I often have to where a stabilizer but I always have had problems with the lack of quality. One lasted not even two weeks. I am going to buy another one of these as a spare because I never want to try a diferent one again. This one fits perfectly, very comfortable while still allowing me to use the rest of my hand. Don't waste time or money on anything else.

Followed the sizing chart and ordered the S/M. The piece that wraps around the thumb was too small and cut off circulation. The wrist wrap was too tight and the workmanship poor.

Great spica for torn ligament

Great thumb spica for torn ligament. I bought a few different kinds of braces so that I could rotate between them, over the 8 weeks I would need to splint it. The McDavid was by far the best one in regards to supporting the joint above and below the torn ligament as well as restricting movement (of the thumb) altogether. Not bulky and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

My son needed this after dislocating his thumb. (Again.) Coach recommended this for the season. (Football...lineman.) Had to wrap medical tape around the velcro on the thumb. Kind of defeats half its purpose. Velcro wore out way too quick.
