I fond the noise cancelling mode makes no discernible difference. The sound is slightly tinny and the bass is poor.

Much better products out there for a fraction of this price!!! Not the best JBL purchase I’ve made. Music quality was far better in my previous EarPod which was a local brand. The various equaliser settlings don’t seem to make it better either. I did doubt if this was a faulty batch if earpods but it’s probably not just a poor quality product, very unhappy and feel like my money is wasted. There is an app but that’s pretty common these days, wouldn’t recommend to but this product.

sometimes one earbud does not work and other times the case and earbuds are in a different room to me and my phone and it randomly connects to the earbuds over and over again, leading me to be unable to use them.

If i could give a zero i would, my partner and I both have JBL earphones and the right ears will not connect after the first couple times of use. Annoying after switching brands... their big speakers are good but earphones DO NOT BUY.

"JBL never fails to impress! I’ve tested my JBL Charge 2+ and JBL Go 3 in water over 100 times, so I knew their speakers were built different—but earbuds? Never expected this level of savagery! Took my JBL Tune Beam out, dropped both earbuds into a glass of water, and just to go all in, opened the case and threw that in too. And guess what? The music DIDN’T STOP. No interruptions, no weak bass—just pure, powerful sound. After 2-3 minutes, I took them out, expecting at least some impact, but nah—same flawless quality, same deep bass. Plugged them in, and it was like nothing ever happened. JBL, you just turned me into a lifetime fan. Absolutely GOATED! 🔥❤️"

I have had these for over a year! Misplaced them and found out they were in a hoodie pocket and were washed in the washer! I thought they were done - a couple days later, my wife charged them and tried them out a few hours later. Working perfectly!! Truly Awesome and a great investment!!

I have never came back to review a product before but this one stuck out to me. I bought this speaker about 6 years ago and today it finally died on me. I put this speaker through a lot of things like constantly being at the beach, by the pool, and through a roof and wall in college. All that and it still took 6 years to break. Great product will definitely be getting another one.

way different than the Go 4

I got this speaker as a Christmas gift. I was so excited about it. I have never had a speaker as loud as this. I have previously had the Go 4 and this is a huge improvement. I was kind of disapointed of the Bluetooth version as it has Bluetooth 4.2. But I love the audio jack. It is compadible with a lot of devices. I wished that JBL still kept the audio jack on their speakers. But the sound quality is excellent. The battery seems to last forever. But it also seems to take forever for it to charge. Overall it is a great speaker. I actually thought it had a tweeter but I was confused when I only heard sound coming from one side of the front of the speaker. Then I just found out it does not have a tweeter. This is fine with me. a little grateful because this is so loud for just a driver and two radiators. The app is kind of disapointing. I thought there was more you could do on the app like the Go 4, which has an equalizer and playtime boost. this you can really only turn on and off the feedback tone and update the firmware. But It does not have connectivity issues like the Go 4 because it randomly disconnects from my chromebook. The charge 4 does not do that. It's connection is strong. And if you are having issues. Connect it maually using an audio cable. This is just an awsome speaker.

Most useless pods i have ever bought. Active noise cancellation is very bad. I can hear most of the stuff going around even with ANC on. Only connect right ear and never connects left one. Always have to forget device and reconfigure. Every single time. Utterly disappointed

Terrific sound but questionable noise cancellation

Bought these about a month ago after testing out with my father-in-law's JBLs and being impressed. It took me a while to get to grips with the operation, but realised this was down to my own lack of tech-savvy. The only negative I would flag up is the Noise Cancelling. My father-in-law's buds (a different model - lower down in the range) cut out absolutely everything around brilliantly. The noise cancelling on my pair seems to have no noise cancelling difference between the ambient aware and the NC settings. I'd be keen to know if it's something I'm doing wrong, though I can't see what that might be. I've tried the different size tips and am happy that the large ones are the best for me. That said, the sound quality is extraordinarily good. I've put off buying buds for a long time, but now wish I'd bought them sooner. On the noise cancelling front though... any advice much appreciated.

Bought this last year. Worked great the first time we used it but then it kept going dead quicker. Now it only lasts about a 1/2 hour. big waste of money. Thought i bought something good but ends up being junk! I'd give it a zero but 1 is as low as it goes.

Thanks for your feedback. It is possible that the battery of your JBL Charge 4 is losing its capacity. However, it is also possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Try to charge the right earbud to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. Please contact us for further assistance.

pricy, yet good

I just bought these headphones more than a week ago, and i am VERY impressed, although i know these arent the best earbuds money can buy, however very good, kinda pricy, but good, the second i actually connected and tried out a few things, i was confused, but after a week, its so good, first, i love the way it can connect to 2 devices (although i wish it was more) but its more than enough for me, next, i have never used noice cancelling earbuds, and with this, i dont really see what noise gets blocked, but i still use it, however the ambient mode gives off a slight of static noise, which i dont like, but i mistaked it for rain somehow, and i actually fell asleep, and last is the design, its slightly bigger than my dads airpods, but man, this is great, the way it feels, just perfect!

How is the Quality Control?

I bought Wave Buds. Took them back with distorting issues. Decided to try the Tune Beam model. The right ear piece was faulty. After a night of charging in the case I’d have one earpiece at 100%and the other at 10 to 70%. So I’m on my third set in under a month. Hopefully this second set of Tune Beams are fine. The Tune Beams sound very good. Looks like the could be justification for better QC. Its a lot of running around dealing with things I shouldnt have to just to buy some earbuds. Not a happy customer experience.

Good until it died just after the warranty period

I bought it a year and a month ago and the left bud died on me. It was good while it lasted, got a couple issues with the connection in the case before the end but apart form that. The noise was good as well as the battery life. If you are ready to spend 100+ every year in earbuds, go for it!

Thanks for your feedback. We're always looking for ways to improve. For our JBL Tune Beam, we recommend cleaning the contact pins on the case and earbuds using a cotton swab with alcohol. These pins are sensitive to dust. Please ensure the pins are dried before placing them back on the case. The two earpieces should normally be connected together without issue. However, sometimes wireless interference may cause corruption between the connection of the two earpieces. Try to manually pair the two earpieces and see if it fixes the problem.
