JBL Live Flex 3 TWS ANC Headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great JBL release! I use these headphones for 1) business calls 2) general background listening and 3) workouts. What they are: Impeccable JBL build quality, convenient (due to the color screen on the case), excellent connectivity without any chirping or dropouts in audio during calls, well-balanced audio with crisp highs and good bass (when seated properly), and a very comfortable all-day fit. What they are not: These do not provided a sealed fit to your ear, completely cancelling out external sounds. They do provide noise-cancelling, but if you are looking for a "shut out the world around" experience, JBL has other options. I found the trade-off for all-day comfort worth the compromise. Overall, the color touchscreen controls and the shiny accents on the buds give the Live Flex 3 an elegant feel. Very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never owned a high end pair of earbuds, but when the JBL Live Flex 3 earbuds arrived, everything I wanted to know about the buds was written on the eco style packaging. Some of the features listed were-adaptive noise control, 50 (10+40) hours of battery usage, customized screen saver on the charging case, 6 mics for perfect calls, waterproof, and wirelessly charging. Things only got better once I got them out of the box. The case was average sized and could easily be carried in your pocket, purse, or bag. The ear buds themselves were sleek, lightweight, low profile, and set in my ears with no problems. And the buds delivered JBL's signature sound which is booming for all types of music. After a full charge, I downloaded the JBL Headphones app and added the Live Flex 3’s to my inventory, a. And thats when the fun began. The first thing I wanted to do is to change the picture on the case. JBL offered 5 choices, or you could upload a picture from your photos folder, which is what I did, several times looking for the right image. I took a few phone calls to test the earbud's sound. Then I turned on the music and dialed in the app and case to my personal preference. I played with the equalizer trying to decide which preset setting had the best sound, Bass or Extreme Bass or any one of four other choices. Next thing I did was play with case seeing what it offered. I could control the music and the sound level, just from the case. And to top it off, the case can double as a timer and a flashlight. One thing you will discover in the app, under Others, is that if you lose or misplace one of your ear buds, you can use the Find My Buds to locate the lost ear bud. And my favorite bonus feature in the app is the “white noise” option. There are 5 choices, any combination of sounds to relax to or even fall asleep to. My only complaint is that there was no strap or clip included to attach to the case, but there are holes for one. And the other thing is that the ear buds have no tips. I’m not sure how these ear buds would stay in your ears if you are doing hard/ physical activity. I am sure that I will continue to enjoy these buds for myself, unless somebody in the family steals them from me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones sound great and the noise canceling works very well, especially considering they are only little earbuds. I took them on a plane and was very surprised to find that the ANC successfully removed most of the engine noise. These headphones have just about every feature I could imagine. I love that the case supports wireless charging. The screen on the case is cool, but I rarely use it. The JBL app works well, and I especially appreciate the ability to turn off some annoying preset settings. Overall, I really love these headphones. My only real complaint is that the tap gestures periodically get triggered for no reason while using the headphones, which causes the music to pause or the ANC to be toggled. Disappointing – hopefully this can be fixed through a software update.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The live flex 3 are awesome buds. They feel great in your ears. The noise canceling is not the best but it does tone the noise way down. The music is awesome and crystal clear for all types. They stayed in my ears great! The battery life on these and the case are great. The touch screen on the case I don’t use, my phone for me did the same. The bass and treble are just right no matter the setting. Phone calls are crystal clear as well. I even used them in the wind with no problems of them hearing me or me hearing them. The case is small enough to fit in any pocket with ease and comfort. Another great product from JBL. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

It's convenient having a case you can tap to change settings for when you can't touch your phone. The battery life is Impressive for such a small earbud. My only thing is the comfort. My ears are a bit picky and these can cause some discomfort after a short amount of time. The find my bud feature is also amazing. Very loud sound if you misplaced one.

The buds have a Smart Case that has a touch screen allowing you to use and adjust features. You can adjust the volume, sound setting, spatialization settings and more via the case. There is also an app that allows you to fully customize the buds and also the case. Upon first using the headphones, pairing was quick and seamless. Once paired, you can enjoy exceptional sound. The buds house 12mm drivers. The drivers are well balanced making all the sound frequencies very balanced and not over bearing. Bass is present as well as the mids. The highs are clean and not harsh. A truly enjoyable sound. The buds get loud and are distortion free. The buds sound different as I move them in your ear. They don’t stay put in my ears but will stay with some effort. I let others try them on and they fit them better. The buds are very well built. They are touch sensitive. Each bud has the ability to do different functions when touched. These features are selected while using the app. You can have one answer and end calls, adjust volume, adjust the noise canceling feature, and change tracks. The buds offer hi-res audio, delivering clear full range sound. You can also enable Spatial Audio. You can adjust the mode in which you are using from music, movies and games. The buds sound great with no Equalizer but are fully adjustable. You can adjust the sound via the case or fine tune your frequencies in the app. The buds offer adaptive noise canceling and voice aware. Both features work well but the noise canceling still allows outside noise in. The buds have exceptional battery life. 10 minutes in the case gives you 4 hours of listening time. 50 hours in total for battery life. I used these all day for 8 hours the past week. I had about 20 percent battery left before having to recharge again. Taking calls while using the buds is great. Sound is clear and you can’t tell that you’re using them. Others on the receiving end mention the call quality is perfect. I am truly enjoying the live flex 3 ear buds. I use these for hours at a time and like the sound quality. I only wish they stayed put in my ears. That is the only con I can think of. Otherwise these are solid! Build quality is exceptional and all the features keep me engaged.

Comfort: First off, the comfort is great for a set of in-ear headphones. They have a snug fit without being too tight. I’ve tested them at the gym, while working/making calls, and working around the house. They actually feel a little better than other in-ear sets I have owned. Battery Life: The battery life is great! I’ve used them for multiple extended sessions and the specs JBL provides are accurate, which depends on the features you have on and what you are using them for. Listing to music with True Adaptive (automatic environmental noise adjustments) and active noise cancelling (ANC) on, I get over six hours of use on average. Talk time gets me around five hours which is more than adequate for me. Just listening to music with the extra features off does get you around 10 hours. Essentially, they last me all day long considering my needs. Plus, they only take about two hours to get a full charge. Sound: The noise-cancelling feature is amazing! I’ve used these in noisy environments, and the active noise cancellation blocks out background sounds incredibly well, creating an immersive listening experience. JBL has done it again by delivering big sound from a compact device. Features: The JBL app is great. However, it is nice to have full access and control from the smart charging case. The touch screen display is intuitive and easy to navigate. Ultimately, it’s a really nice added option over standard earpiece or phone controls themselves. While the display isn’t a game-changer for me, it is unlike any other in-ear sets I’ve owned, and I find myself using it more than I thought. Ease of Use: Setting up the headphones was a breeze. The Bluetooth connection is stable, and I’ve had no issues syncing them with my phone, tablet, or laptop. The controls are responsive, and I appreciate being able to adjust the settings through the JBL app and on the smart case. Quality/Durability: The build quality is exceptional. I use them while working out and doing other outdoor activities. They have a rugged feel and I’m confident they will last the test of time. Overall, the JBL Live Flex 3 headphones are excellent. They tick all the boxes that matter to me—comfort, battery life, advanced features, and ease of use. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a week of enjoying my new JBL Flex 3 earbuds, I can honestly say I’m blown away! They are exceptional, from an ease-of-use standpoint to the depth of the JBL sound quality. I have tried many earbuds, headphones and speakers, as I have tested sound quality as a hobbyist for decades. Even after many types of earbuds, I still hadn’t found the right fit and due to smaller ears, the silicon tip never fit properly. The JBL Flex 3 fit me perfectly, light enough to not even notice and no shifting around when working around the mountains. So, here’s my thoughts after some use and listening time: Ease of use - The JBL Flex 3 is the most simple and intuitive earbud I have used so far. Instead of being dependent on swipes, taps and gestures, these buds give the user the ability to decide what they prefer. By going into the JBL Headphones app, one can set parameters for the gestures. Or, if you only want to use the charging case screen, gestures can also be enabled or disabled completely. Most basic features for calling, volume and bud control can be done with simple taps, double taps and tap holds. My preference is using the case for most things, and I use the gestures when I am active and about. Charging Case – This is one of the best features of the JBL Live series of earbuds! My biggest pet peeve with sound devices is app dependency; this innovative case frees you from any need to even pick up the phone from your charger or leave it laying around the house. The controls and parameters are vast, allowing for control of volume, tracks, noise cancelling, wallpaper, VoiceAware and tons of other features. Jump into the JBL Headphone app and you can configure it in any way you see fit for your taste. My only complaint is that JBL should have included a silicone case and screen protector for the earbuds, as the hard plastic bud case does not inspire confidence in the outdoors. Call Quality - The sound quality of calls or meetings with these buds is quite amazing. The Live Flex 3 has very clear voice translation, the ability to eq your voice and the callers voice, automatic sound level optimization and my favorite feature: VoiceAware. VoiceAware allows you to hear your own voice while speaking to callers and has three settings for personal taste. This is a game changer for me, as no more hollow room feeling when I talk on the phone. Sound Quality – The sound quality on the JBL Live Flex 3 is nothing short of phenomenal! Once you have the proper settings dialed in, of course. The stock signature sound is very clear and relaxed, but once you dig into the EQ and figure out your tastes, prepare to be blown away. This is the first set of earbuds that nearly feel like over ear headphones due to the fullness of the sound! My settings are: Noice Cancelling On, Smart Audio On, EQ settings of Jazz, Bass and Extreme Bass depending on the track type, Adaptive EQ off, Leakage Compensation On and the phenomenal Spatial Sound On. Overall - The Flex 3 is a surprising new school earbud, with an innovative charging case for tactile control and sound quality that is beyond impressive! The ability not to be tethered to gestures or app controls, open freedom to enjoy these buds without interference. The sound quality is clean, immersive and full but can be also customized to sound nearly as stellar as an over ear headphone. My only complaint is the voice prompts are too loud and need to have a volume slider or be disabled until an update can add this feature. Also, an included silicone case and screen protector would be nice to include, since they are cheap accessories. Other than that, I would say the JBL Flex 3 is the best earbud at the price point while providing technological innovation, comfortable form factor, high build quality, superb sound quality and ease of use for the consumer. 9/10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a bit skeptical about earbuds with this shape. They usually fall out of my ears if I’m working out or running. These stay in very nicely for me and feel more comfortable than I expected! The sound quality is amazing. Clear, crisp, and easy to modify with the equalizer being so accessible. The noise canceling isn’t perfect, but that’s the deal with buds you don’t have to shove halfway down your ear canal. I wondered if I’d like having a screen on the case or if it would just be a gimmick that I’d never use. Turns out I love it! It might not be that useful to be able to change the song from the case when the earbuds themselves can do that, but having the “Find My Earbuds” feature is genius. I highly recommend these. They look amazing, feel comfortable, and sound great with a range of music.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL live Flex 3 headphones are a great set of headphones. I prefer to wear headphones that go inside your ears. These don’t go inside your ears fully but they don’t fall off my ears. The sound quality is outstanding. I like that they have High-Res support. It only works with Android devices. Apple doesn’t have that feature available, but I have both so I does not bother me. They look great too. Not cheap looking and are light in my ears.

I have very small and narrow ear passages. The fitment was ok but not as secure as i would like or have experienced. The controls on the case is amazing! Able to fine tune the audio settings on the case is great and definitely gives it a cool factor when showing my friends. Just as of note it is also great that the are NOT white. The Black and dark chrome colors of the Live Flex 3 make them look amazing and less noticeable in your ears. I mainly listen to pod casts at work and music during workouts. The audio was clear and concise for the podcasts and during the gym the music was motivating and full of depth. The negative is that they would not stay in my ears. The battery life was as advertised and they really do give you 4 hours of moderate play time with 10 minutes of charge. Over all if the ear buds were not as wide they would be amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently own approximately a dozen or so pair of headphones/earbuds and after using the Flex 3 for a couple of days they have rocketed to the top of my list of favorites. Lets start with the case which has added a control screen on the front. it holds about 50 hours of battery life to charge your buds when they are put back into the case. I was struck by the sound of these things. You would expect the usual sound quality from JBL but the Flex 3 is next level. The clarity is top shelf and attention to detail is off the charts. I listen to everything from classic rock to rap and they excelled in all genres. Easy tap features on the sides allow to pause, noise cancel, etc. They are very comfortable and rival the feel of the apple airpods. Super light and stay in very easily. The biggest homerun to me is the compatibility with the JBL app on your mobile device. It allows to to truly open all of the functions of these babies. The EQ control is epic. you can also toggle all of the features of the buds to set them up as desired. I could not be more impressed with these. I can leave them in all day. Very comfortable. Answer calls, listen to music, workout in the gym and have zero complaints. This flex 3 product is yet another JBL homerun. I highly recommend them. Bravo JBL!

The sound quality rivals some of the best noise-cancelling headphones on the market. The equalizer presets bring the sound to life. Be sure to install the JBL Headphones app for the best experience. The Flex 3 could stay in your ears for hours in comfort due to the small size. The fit is great. The app packs with features and is very intuitive. It took me a few minutes to install the app, install the updates, upload my favorite picture to the charger box screen, select my equalizer preset and start listening. Once the app is installed your phone will be able to see the Flex 3 immediately and the pairing is a breeze. Not only the battery can last you all day, but it can also accept superfast charging. I find myself taking the Flex 3 with me everywhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this charging case you have all the options like being on the app. With its touch screen you can even change the wallpaper and it has a built-in flashlight. I think they thought everything on this one. I have a few products from JBL and the app is awesome because it houses all of them. Options that are pretty cool different theater sounds, different types of noise canceling different preprogrammed equalizer and a timer. Why a 4 star? A couple of reasons. The “perfect fit” headphone are a bit loose on me so jumping around a bit my right ear falls out also the sound level, it is great but would like it a bit louder. But that could be from the fit. Overall very impressed with the tech and all the options that come with it. I would recommend.

I bought Flex a few days ago. Not the most comfortable headphones on the ear, however, I needed quality sound without rubber pads that send the sound directly into the ear... The most important thing is to enable Adaptive Eq. The sound then becomes the trademark of the brand. Otherwise, that's exactly what I needed. Small headphones for the pocket that have the highest quality sound, despite the poor isolation of ambient noise.

Found it tricky setting up 2nd, 3rd 4th.... Bluetooth devices. But otherwise, these have been absolutely faultless from Day 1. Swapping between devices is a breeze, JBL Sound quality and the batteries are lasting really well!! Very pleased with my purchase....

Keep falling off. Similar review to others. Must be a fault. It's a Shane because the device itself is good. But can't stay in the ears. If I could give it 0 I would.

I have had this product for a while now and it's superb. The earbuds are so comfortable to wear, the sound it's amazing,clear. The case that we keep the earbuds is great and super useful. Great for travel, the battery life is great. I cannot fault the at all.

I have been using these for a few months now and overall they are pretty good with a decent battery life. the touchscreen can be a bit fiddly with too many settings, I would prefer a couple of physical buttons. they are very light weight and comfotable but not ver secure and would fall out if you do anything more than walk.

I’m well impressed with those earphones. Very good quality of music, they could beat many other high end headphones easy. I love little touch screen, don’t need to grab phone, uou can navigate them on the case. Both charging box and earphones are made of decent quality material, looks sturdy but yet very smart. Battery last forever, and they are very comfortable to wear. Can’t really fault them at all! Definitely recommend them!

Absolutely love these, bought for my son as he had a Birthday coming up and he likes them so much and raves about them I got some more for myself. They sound fantastic, good levels of bass, strong mid range and clear highs, speech is also good so they work really well for phonecalls etc. The case is good, love the fact you can personalise it with a picture, they charge quickly and the screen keeps you informed as well which is great. The battery life is brilliant, days of use before it needs a charge. They got in the ear lovely, I prefer this type to the ones with the little rubber bits in but the good news is if you prefer that type they do another version of these with that option. The app is useful for connection and settings too. All in all a fantastic pair of earbuds, great sound like everything from JBL these days, would highly recommend these to anyone.

JBL Live Flex 3 is a very comfortable earbuds. I can use iy for more than couple hours without any discomfort. Battery life is okay. Noise cancellation is well worth. Great design and sound quality.

I’ve had the JBL Live Flex 3 for about three weeks now, and I’m super impressed! Initially, I was worried that the fit wouldn’t be good enough and I would lose them in no time, but they actually stay in the ear surprisingly well. Only when I’m cycling and it’s a bit windy I sometimes feel them move and I’m afraid of losing them. The one annoying bit is that when I want to put them in my ears more securely, it often turns on one of the “touch” features (which otherwise are quite helpful). It would be nice to be able to turn on/off all touch features easily through the case touch screen. In terms of sound and noise cancelling, I’m well impressed! It’s amazing how many features they put in these headphones. Battery life too is great! I’ve been using them daily for more than two weeks and only then I needed to charge the case (while still wearing the headphones!). I’m very happy with this product.
