Thanks for your feedback. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue. First, use another charging cable and power adapter to see if the unit will charge, and while it's extremely uncommon, try to use another wall outlet to be certain that the issue is not with the outlet. Next, the charger may not be powerful enough to power the unit and charge the battery. Check the adapter and make sure that the rating is 2 amps or higher. Last is reset, turn on the speaker, then press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off and reboot to factory default. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. If the issue remains, please contact us for further assistance.

I bought this a few weeks ago before our family vacation in the Florida Keys. We love to listen to music while enjoying the pool. The rich tones that this bluetooth speakers has is great! The size was just right to fit in our suitcase. I would highly recommend this product if you enjoy music!

Great sound. The device constantly loses Bluetooth connectivity causing me to walk to its location and rest it manually. No fix documented anywhere for this. A paired device that is left on and powered up and plugged in should not behave this way. Very unhappy customer.

Thanks for your feedback. Bluetooth will perform well for up to 30 feet. However, walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can impede that 30-foot range. If it works well at 10 feet or less, it is likely that something is interfering with your wireless Bluetooth signal, causing these dropouts. First, forget/unpair the headphones on your device, then perform manual pairing. Next, try to connect the headphones to a different device (phone/tablet/music player) to see if it fixes the problem. Last is reset, turn on the speaker, then press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off and reboot to factory default. I bought the personalized version of this and the paint immediately started chipping away and does not stop. I would recommend just getting one of the colors they offer because the paint on those doesn't chip. Also, the battery life does not last 12 hours at 80%. I would say my battery life probably only lasts a couple of hours.

However, it is also possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. For further assistance, please contact us.

the sound quality is the same and i honestly think the flip 5 battery life is longer. i use my flip 6 for maybe 8 hrs and then it dies. my flip 5 battery lasts forever 😂 i wish i could get my money back but my flip 6 is custom. waste of money bc i could’ve just kept my (almost) 5 year old flip 5.

Thanks for your feedback. The published battery life is up to 12 hours, but actual playtime depends on volume and source content. At background listening levels, you’ll get the maximum battery time, but as you increase volume or boost bass, playtime decreases—just like a phone battery drains faster with a brighter screen. Music with more bass also shortens battery life. Our JBL Flip 6 (30W RMS) consumes more power than the Flip 5 (20W RMS) due to its separate woofer and tweeter, which deliver stronger sound but drain the battery faster, especially at high volumes. If your battery depletes quickly under these conditions, it is likely functioning normally. You may try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. If you need further assistance, you may contact us.

I had 2 of these last year. Sadly someone stole them from my truck but I loved the build and sound quality of them so much that I bought two more. I’m still surprised that they come with such crisp and clear audio; especially when they’re both in partyboost mode. Awesome product by JBL. James Lansing would be very proud!

Very poor quality. Does not charge

I bought this device while traveling back to Australia from Seoul airport duty free. For the first week it was great. I purchased it mainly because it claims to be waterproof to 3 feet deep. I took it paddled boarding with me where it was splashed with water. After getting home I cleaned the port with a toothbrush and rinsed it with clean fresh water. After drying for over 3 weeksit still did not charge. When I plug it in it flashes and beeps. I performed a factory reset, cleaned and rinsed again and water and allowed to dry for another 3 weeks. However, I am still getting the same issue. In addition, because I purchased the device while overseas I am not getting any support or help. JBL is a global brand. I expected a higher quality device and better service. If I could give it 0 I would as this device is now completely useless to me

Great speaker, use a dealer on the ink

Wife bought for me as a gift, customized with my artwork. Great sound and the printing initially looked great. But the ink doesn't hold up. I've taken in out 5 or 6 times and the ink is fading and comes off if anything touches it.

Survived 3 months in snowy, icy mud!

I fell in love with this speaker right away! But after using it only twice i had a friend drop it in the mud one night after partying. We couldn’t find it so i figured maybe a drunk friend accidentally trashed it or something. It was December when we lost it. I found it in March, 3 months (4 rains and 2 snows) later, shoved into the mud because it had been ran over by a car and it still had half a charge and still sounded great! So far it seems nearly invincible!

Great Solution for a Small Speaker

I bought this Flip 6 around 3 months ago. I bought a bike mount for it, and use it everyday. I convinced 2 of my friends to get 1, and there are 4 people (somebody convinced me) in our group of approx 15 people that bike around jamming to Travis Scott. The speaker fell out of the mount once, landing hard on concrete, and after picking it up, it was perfectly fine. It also did this in the dirt, and was okay then, too. I am 14, and love to annoy people, so the volume max is great. Having 4 speakers playing CANT SAY at full volume, now we're talking. If looking for a semi-cheap speaker that's durable and has EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY AND AMAZING BASS, then the Flip 6 is great.
