Have great interaction with my Venu 3. Easy to learn how to navigate and aside from it's self auto update, access from my pc or mac also accesses app. Music, etc.

Bad connectivity with iOS

Good tracking features and battery live, but pretty poor connectivity with Apple products (iPhone 15, AirPods). GPS connectivity partial also rather slow. Would not but again.

Bought about a month ago, and happy with the product. Had the original venu and this watch really ups the data. The new sensor works really well.

I suggest you play with this for a week and see what features work for your workouts. Then set up is pretty easy to customize for yourself!

I am 68 and not great with electronics. Once I got a 40 year old niece and a 19 year old great nephew involved, I was able to get the data screens I wanted for my trail runs. Come cross country ski season I'll employ them, again.

Had a Venu 2s - had issues with shutting down during activity with 40%+ charge left. The Venu 3 has many new features - like the bigger face. The Venu 3 is definitely a great fitness watch - love it!

I have an aversion to smart watches, but this watch has changed my mind. Long battery life, health metrics, and just enough syncing info from my phone. I move furniture and packages for a living and this watch has held up to tough work.

So far, I like everything about my new Venue 3, particularly as compared to my now battery dead Vivoactive 4. The battery lasts longer, the display is large and of better resolution, and I appreciate the additional capabilities the Venu 3 adds, such as the ECG App.

I have had another Watch for years. No complaints on the watch but I have been eyeing the Venu 3 for a while for additional health/sleep tracking. It was worth the switch! I have had it for a few weeks now and thought I haven’t used all the features, the sleep and workout tracking alone are great! The work out modes are simple to use and have additional features then what I’m used to (ie. rep counts for strength). I like the sleep mode at night to encourage a good night sleeps and it’s comfortable to wear when sleeping (something I was worried about since my previous watch didn’t last a full day and I never wore to bed).

Yes, I recommend this product.

Helpful?

Okay, but for the price, I'm confused...

This arrived a few weeks ago and I thought it would have some of the features in the less expensive Vivoactive - why on a device focused on health not include smart alarms but the vivoactive does? :( Otherwise, no complaints. Love the form factor, screen, etc.

So many comments on internet regarding the Venu 4 but nothing from Garmin and out of frustration I purchased the Venu 3 discounted. I would have purchased the Venu 4 had some one advised when timing of release would be. Not happy but I did want to move away from Apple being an Apple user since first release.

My electrophysiologist wanted me to purchase a watch to record my episodes of AFib so I chose this one. Love the features it has but my only gripe is that the watchband sucks big time. Already looking for a replacement

Overall a great smart health watch.

I had needed a new smart health watch after my Fitbit versa 2 died. Took me almost a year to find the right one and if I did want to get another one. The Venu 3 came well recommended and does just about all I needed to do. It’s a great upgrade from my Fitbit. My only complaint on it is that you can’t select which apps notifications show up on the watch like the Fitbit did. Love that the battery last a full week using it almost daily for gps activity tracking something Apple can’t even come close to.

Great smart watch and just what I wanted.

I purchased this primarily for the health monitoring functions. I have had a problem with Afib for the past year, which is hopefully now fully resolved. The Venu 3 gives me easy access to the monitoring and information I want, along with other useful data that I hadn't thought too much about. The battery life is also incredible, usually 10 days between charges, with super quick power refills when needed. The watch is good-looking, and comfortable to wear. Thanks for a really good product.

This has been a great watch for me and my life style. Garmin works amazing with my Samsung phone better than my iPhone watch. I get all my messages and calls and still can't check my steps and bike ride. And one week of battery is so good.

Fitness Watch, not a smart watch.

When buying this watch as a replacement or upgrade of another smart watch, you have to keep one thing in mind. The Garmin Venu 3 is the most "smart watch like" watch in Garmin's line-up, but it is a fitness tracker first and a smart watch second. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. The good news is that this watch has amazing health trackers, being very accurate. This watch also has smart watch features like notifications and text messages. However, the watch does not sync with your phone's notifications seamlessly like other watches on the market. Your notifications go to both the phone and the watch, a result of the third-party app Garmin Connect. I wish this was more seamless, but it is somewhat of a welcome change from the traditional smart watch from other manufacturers. The main thing I love about this watch is the battery life. Lasting up to 14 days with the Always On Display turned off is just amazing. Even with the Always On Display turned on, you still get up to 5 days out of the battery. This is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else on the market. In conclusion, if you want a fitness tracker that is also a smart watch, definitely take a look at the Garmin Venu 3. Amazing battery life and health sensors set this watch apart from the competition. However, if you are looking for a smart watch first, look elsewhere. The connection is not as seamless as other watches on the market such as the Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch.

The functionality of this watch, and larger screen size, are excellent. Also used the Data Lover watch face by Peter Decker. It has all the fields I need.

Great watch - not very intuitive to use

After owning several versions of another brand of fitness/smartwatch and finding the accuracy and features lacking, I settled on the Venu 3 after much research. There is a bit of a learning curve to overcome - there are A LOT of features and sorting out which ones are important to you can take some time. The main ones I use are the EKG App, Steps, Heart Rate and Pulse Ox. The step count is much more accurate than my previous watch. At a recent doctors appointment I compared the Venu 3 readings to actual medical devices. Heart Rate was within a beat or two of being spot on, Pulse Ox was off by about 10 points - the finger monitor reading was 98% and the Venu 3 was 88%. My doctor was interested in the comparisons so we did this several times and the Venu 3 was consistently low. The big surprise for me was the EKG App - comparing the EKG readings from the Venu 3 and what was taken in the office showed almost identical readings. I was not expecting this level of accuracy. The Garmin messaging feature is cumbersome and not intuitive so I don't use it. Getting texts and call notifications from my iPhone works very well most of the time. There have been several times I have gotten a text but it didn't show up on my watch. Not a big deal to me, but if you're counting on 100% notifications, it may not happen. There are more apps and features on this watch than most people will likely use. That being said, it is very customizable to whatever data set you're looking to track. The downside is it is not very intuitive and getting things set up takes awhile and a measure of patience. If you very tech oriented this may not be the watch for you. The silicone band is secure, but gets uncomfortable after a long day, it doesn't breathe so sweat and moisture tend to collect. I haven't researched alternative bands yet, but I likely will. There are hundreds of alternative watch faces available to add, many free, some are not. It is very easy to overload the watch face with so much data it is near impossible to read. I have tried several different faces and gone back to the default every time. For my needs I am so far happy with the Venu3 despite some of its drawback.

This watch does it all, it did take a little getting used to coming from an Apple Watch, but it still has smart watch capabilities and all the health/ fitness tracking is great, plus the battery lasts forever which is amazing! I only put 4 starts because the watch will not connect to the e-bike in my gym no matter how long I sit there and try to let them pair so my bike work outs just show the time and my heart rate which is a bummer. Overall great watch.

Great features, poor quality.

I bought my watch on January 2025, I was ok with the features, but not with quality of the volume of the speaker, it sounds too low when try to talk through it. The others features are fine. Less than 4 months of use I couldn't answer calls through the watch, the green icon to do so was broken.
