Straight forward watch with a lot of functions

Nice clear screen & loads of functions. In todays modern world where touch screens are everywhere, I am getting used to the up/down buttons. Menu system is logical and easy to navigate. Good battery life too, have been wearing it for 5 days and still has 50% battery left. Easy to use if you don't have $1000 to drop on a high end watch.

Garmin Forerunner 55 Review

Great GPS watch. Has all the functionality that is relevant to my needs without superfluous features that would realistically rarely be used. Great for glancing at during a bike ride to check time, speed and distance before diving into more detailed statistics and mapped routes on Garmin Connect. Excellent battery life. Improved by selecting alternative watch faces from Garmin ConnectIQ to replace the less aesthetically pleasing stock standard options. I also find it useful for keeping track of steps and sleep patterns generally.

Garmin Forerunner 55 GPS Running Watch

Good clear screen. Easy to read on the run. Reasonably similar to older Garmin 235 so easy to operate. One downside, it takes a minute or two to acquire GPS which I find unusual, especially as it displays running pace, distance and pace immediately.

Motivates us even more!

Absolutely loving this watch and all the data we are getting about our runs. It is easy to use, feels comfortable on, despite looking big and clunky. This is motivating us to increase our activity and thus our fitness and health is improving. We use primarily for running, but also recording other physical activity like swimming, yoga and strength training. Very happy with it.

Okay watch, just low resolution and brightness

I bought this watch because I've recently gotten into running. I don't know if I just got a faulty one. But the resolution on my watch is really bad. My brother actually thought the watch was a really old, and cheap When I showed it to him. The brightness is also quite low and I can't seem to change it. Everything else is fine, I don't mind the interface, but it really isn't worth the money. I can't seem to fine any reviews that have my problem, so I might've of gotten a dud one? If it wasn't for the low resolution and brightness, I would actually be pretty happy with this watch.

Not accurate GPS - but awesome otherwise

Like it but it will tell me that I’ve only ran 1km at a check point on my run where my Apple Watch used to say almost 2km. Then when I stop my run and check my app, it says the accurate distance.. the same as the Apple Watch would. It was recommended to do a run or 2 so the gps could get used to my track, but it’s been a month worth of runs now and hasn’t changed.. love everything else about it though.
