Truly the best watch out there!!!

I was an Apple Watch user for years swore by them but charging them every freaking night and still dying mid day sucked!! I bought a garmin and I will never go back! Best watch yet! This was actually tracks my workouts correctly with an amazing app that makes it easy to track your fitness goals and it stays charged for 11 full days!!! I can’t recommend Garmin enough!!

Great bang for buck

Light weight and great features for the price. Battery life is excellent, getting well over a week from a full charge. Measures a lot of metrics compared to my galaxy watch 6 and tracking seems more accurate.

Wish I Bought it Sooner

I bought my Forerunner 165 a couple of weeks ago to track my runs. Wow! What a difference. Everything I need and more is now at a glance. Thanks for making such a great product.

Great Watch

What a watch. I tried the 55 and was not impressed with the screen. This screen is so easy to read in any lighting and the buttons are extremely easy to access. There are so many features that having the app on your phone helps so much in keeping track and exploring your data. The battery life is awesome as well. This is a must for anyone who runs, bikes, swims (yes it is waterproof) or just wants a watch to help with daily health tracking. I wear it daily and it’s sad because my Omega PO and a couple of my Seiko Divers have not been worn in a month.

I bought this watch about a month ago. Finally decided to let go off the apple watch. I must say this was 100% worth it.

Upgrading to the Forerunner 165

I owned the Forerunner 245 and upgraded to the Forerunner (FR) 165. Despite the model number, the FR 165 is actually an upgrade with a much better screen, heart rate sensors, it has additional metrics and it also has a touch screen. The other surprising feature is that the FR 165 is much slimmer and sits on the wrist more comfortably (therefore better HR measurement), I am taking off the watch a lot less. It is definitely better wearable technology than previous generations of Garmin Forerunners.

Great watch, only one complaint.

After a few weeks with my 165, I can say that it's fantastic! It took a few days to adjust to it (it replaced a fitbit). Tracking is great, GPS is great. I only wish that I could tell it that I have an illness. I'm not looking for medical advice, it's just that I would prefer not to have it tell me that I've had plenty of relaxing moments, and to increase activity when I can barely get out of bed.

Too complicated

I've had several Garmin's and have usually been able to figure out how to use them. I have watched the video several times and still can't figure out how to get my mile splits! I am a runner who just wants to press start and go, get my mileage and average pace per mile and then check the mile splits. The start/stop button should be more distinctive. I run in the dark. Not the right model for me.

Great for training!

I’ve been running for a few years and have used other watch’s for help. But using the Garmin training for my first marathon training has been amazing and helps me pace myself (which I’m awful at) I love it so far and is easy to use!

Lots of toys

I had been looking for a replacement for my Fitbit. I tried another brand but it never worked out of the box. Looked at purchasing a Garmin but felt that it too expensive. Then they went on sale and I purchased one. It has Lots of bells and whistles and it would take me a while to how to use all of them. I wanted something to measure my progress when I am out on hike and it does more.

Good watch

My wife and I bought the watches for our anniversary. I got the forerunner 165. It’s good. I enjoy keeping up with all the physical trends of my workouts, sleep, and vitals. Despite being a larger watch than I’ve aver worn before it is remarkably comfortable.

Probable has to many features.

It should be easier to use Start, Stop and Clear I would think that it would save the exercise for that day. I believe that it actually interfered with the Electronics in my car. Maybe not but seemed to. My phone connects to my car but at the same time is tied into my watch might start shutting the watch off while driving. I use it to keep my self from cheating when I walk and ride stationary bike. I Try to average 5 miles a day between walking and biking. It notifies me if I have an incoming call which can be really helpful if expecting a call.

Very comfortable and I forget I'm wearing it, which is very important to me. Lots of great features, and although the software and device take a little getting used to, since I'm new to Garmin, it is pretty easy to understand.

Great watch, great battery life, love it

I had a Fitbit Sense and this is a great upgrade. I get at least a week with most settings on but have “always on display” turned off. I love not having to pay a subscription fee to see all my stats. I don’t do a lot of sports or fitness but am very active at work and at this price point the 165 was a great option rather than a Fitbit or Apple Watch. Very happy with this watch, it does everything I need and does it well.
