Overall review

they pack it into the box so there is no damage done to the Teeter. A+ on that .Very easy to build it. I used the app Bilt. The only problem I had was trying to get the bar in the front on the bike. It was a half inch too wide. I had to have a friend help me get that inside the tube. But it won't come out now unless you yank hard I'm sure LOL I can't wait to use my product. just sitting on it and trying it out it feels very ergonomic. I'm excited to have the machine and can't wait to really work it out.

Great product! Anyone could put it together.

This product was so easy to put together because of the 3D instructions and every screw and bolt was in a separate little packet that went with each step that was labeled

Needs better Quality Control

The biggest problem was that one of the threaded bolt holes on the rear stabilizer bar wasn't right. I had to disassemble it, brute force a bolt through it until the thread was right, and then reassemble it.. Also, one of the six spring washers for the rear stabilizer bar was the wrong size, so one bolt is in without the spring washer. Other Quality Control issues were as follows; One of the packets in the hardware kit wasn't labeled. The instructions say to lift the seat post by pulling up on the seat handle never mentioning to unlock the height adjustment knob first. The instructions say that the pedals are marked left and right but they are both the same, and it's possible to put them on upside down. Finally, some of the illustrations and instructions could be clearer. The bottom line, what should have been a fairly easy installation turned into a two day project. Once all the installation issues were resolved, and the machine was finally assembled, it is working good.

Lifesaver!!!

I have severe spinal stenosis and arthritis. After spinal surgery, my mobility became severely limited with chronic pain preventing me from even walking for exercise. I was told I needed to lose 30 lbs to have knee surgery which would help my mobility. I tried the elliptical, recumbent bike and just walking but was unable to sustain it because of the horrible knee and hip pain. I read the reviews for the free step and skeptically ordered one ready to return it. It was the best thing I ever did!!! I am able to exercise pain free and after two weeks I am already feeling better. I was literally watching my health deteriorate day by day. I had severe lower edema because of not moving it has already improved after two weeks. My lung capacity has improved and my depression. The Teeter FreeStep has changed my whole life! Buy it you will NOT be sorry. Assembly was easy. It is very sturdy, made well, and whisper quiet. Thank you Teeter for saving my life!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Awesome quality!

LT1 being their lower cost unit is surprisingly high quality. I have purchased many exercise equipment over the years. The heavy gauge metal used was a welcome sight. I was afraid that not buying the LT3 I expected a much less quality.

I am vvery ery short and I do not get around very good. I found this machine to work out for very well. The assembly was very clear and all the parts fit great. The concerns that I hav e are------The seat back needs more positions ---And being very short, I find it somewhat hard to get on and off. Overall, its a great product for the money.

I love my FreeStep! I can't wait to use it every day. I had been on similar machines in therapy and rehab after surgery. I am very thankful to have one of my own now. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I have had several joint replacements. The FreeStep allows me to keep everything moving!

Great piece of equipment! Both my husband and I use it! When it was delivered, I was worried that we might kill each other assembling it. Lol The instruction manual was SO easy to follow! Took us about an hour....and we didn't kill each other! Looking forward to having a safe way to exercise during our cold snowy northern Michigan winter!

I am a 60 year old cardiac rehab patient and assembled it by myself with the paper instructions only. Individual hardware packs for each step is great. My first impression is 5 stars. It seems to be well constructed, smooth working, and quiet. Time will tell about durability.

Great Product

I had been using an inexpensive elliptical cross trainer. It worked okay for the first couple of months, but shortly after that it developed problems. The resistance method was a nylon strap around the front wheel. The strap wore out, but I was able to repair it by purchasing strapping material from a local sewing store. Next, the front wheel started vibrating and making loud noises. I removed the wheel assembly and found that there were no bearings in the wheel, just a metal bushing. It started wearing down the axle, thus causing the vibration & noise. In addition, the seat was hard and uncomfortable. After putting up with it for 2 years, I finally decided to buy a FreeStep LT3. All I can say is that there is a world of difference between the old trainer and the Teeter. The FreeStep is silky smooth and perfectly quiet. I have it setup in my living room and it's so quiet I can watch TV without turning up the volume. The seat is super comfortable. I usually workout twice a day, using it for 20-25 minutes at a time. I get off of it and, while I'm tired from the exercise, my butt isn't sore like it was with the old machine. I'm just sorry I didn't buy the FreeStep years ago.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Yes! to Teeter Fresstep

I had a Sole Elliptical b4 and this is better for me. I purveyed quite a few Elliptical/Recumbent machines and this works extremely well and has great quality. 1) The screws and washers were all the same, so no fumbling with that scenario. 2) The seat had a back to it, plus it was not one of those 10 speed, smallish bike seats, either...that at any age makes for an uncomfortable. exercise experience after a coupla minutes. Good job to those involved allover but especially those involved with the Design. Talk about hitting the nail on the head! Very nice job!

rough consept.

Got it for PT after knee surgery. Adequate for the purpose. Rather awkward to get on and off, feels like I am endangering my knees. Display monitor is a joke. Very difficult to read; dark grey on light grey, too far away, not lit. no on/off control (it comes on with any movement, turns off when it decides to do so.) I don’t know what it is supposed to hold ... nothing fits and any thing is too far away to be useful. Resistance control is screwy, doesn’t react consistent with the turn. Turning the handle is rough, hard and easy to turn, but no correspondence to resistance.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Happy Owner

When I started out on my Teeter FreeStep I was weighing 294 lbs and was excited to find and get this fantastic unit. I have MS and use everything including a cane, walker, and or a scooter to help me get around. The FreeStep was the answer to my weight problems. I now weight 220 after riding my cross trainer for 6 months now, doing 2 1/2 hours a day doing three rides a day. Riding this is easier than walking is for me, making it an easy do... I did have one issue happen during this time and that was a torn seat. I reached out to Teeter and they covered it under my warranty with no problems. They proved to me that they were a stand up company that I would give a two thumbs up for. They do go out of their way to keep us happy. If you haven't got yours yet, do it, you will not be sorry.

Best Exercise Machine I Have Ever Used

I've used countless exercise machines and this is the best one I have ever used. It was easy to assemble by myself (I am 5' 2", 105 lbs.) and I put it together in one evening. It is low impact and I get such a great full body workout on it. It is more than worth the price.

Revolutionary Exercise for Chronic Pain

I am writing this for people like me who suffer from chronic pain due to autoimmune disease. I am overjoyed with this product! I can do a full body workout while not adding pressure or strain to my body. Reading further about this bike I learned that this technology was taken from Hospitals and Physiotherapy Clinics. So the technology is proven to help people with injuries or pain to exercise in a healthy way. I can’t praise this product enough! A purchase you won’t regret if you want to exercise without the added problems of pain or joint stress.

not designed for an adult male

FREESTEP LT-1 RECUMBENT CROSS TRAINER seat is not designed for an adult male. Seat way too small and not adjustable. Makes me feel like I am sitting on the forward edge. It needs to be moved about two inches forward away from the back, if there was an adjustment. Well I made my own brackets to move the seat forward. With the gym and pools closed I love the freesteep full body workout. I have severe stenosis plus a bunch of other severe lumbar problems but this has been great. Recommend men buy the LT-3 It is just what i need to get through the this time of stay at home.

Better Than Advertised For Me

At 75 years old and in generally good physical condition but able to do any resistance workouts any more, I needed a good, reliable, reasonably priced cardio machine to help me manage my type 2 diabetes so I can continue to stay off Diabetic meds. After extensive research, decided on the FreeStep. Very, very pleased with the machine. I've had & used it for about 2 months (60 minutes every day at resistance level 9 at a pace that gets me 19-20 miles a day) & have NO issues with it. Expect many years of trouble free use. Is well made, easy to use & has everything needed to get a good cardio workout.

the kind of workout that I can control effort, etc

I'm 80 and wanted something that would provide healthy non-stressful activity when I can't go out for a walk. This is an ALMOST perfect design. The movements are smooth, as fast or slow as I want to go any time, and the speedometer is a good way to monitor my effort. It's simple to get on and off. The only drawback is the seat - the bottom is way TOO SHALLOW for a 6-year-old, much less an adult, to be comfortable on. The seat back isn't set far enough away to sit securely, so I always feel like I'm about to slide off the bottom.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Wonderful Machine

Very good quality and functionality. Easy to use and smooth /quiet operation. Easy to assemble with supplied tool. (used a box cutter, which was not included, to cut box for disassembly and removal). took my husband 2 hours to unpack, assemble and cut up/remove packing material. His only help was from our poodle, and all he did was supervise. The instructions were very good and easy to follow, and he also used the online app which worked very well. Either one alone would have been sufficient. He could have completed it faster, but chose to take his time. Parts were all there, and fit properly. We are both very pleased with it and have used it multiple times in different configurations. We were really missing going to the gym, but this meets that need very well. Highly recommend.

I had to start out slow using it and work my way up. I am only doing 5 minutes at a time but am up to three times a day. I’m a heart patient and dr. Gives me an ok to use it as comfortable without closing my breath or getting heart rate too high. So easy does it for me for now.

I am glad they offer this unit and I'm glad I got it. I gave it four stars because of the seat. After about 20 minutes I have to get off and let the blood recirculate where it's needed. My whole adult life I've been troubled with a disabling back condition and using this unit 40 minutes every other day has done wonders for my back. I'm 71 years old. Thank you
