Great for what you pay

Great value for money. Sleeves are a good length for additional weight. Knurl on handle is decent enough, agressive for dumbbells. Spin in sleeves is abit stiff (not a huge issue for general use). Spring collars are fine for provided weight however i’d highly recommend buying stronger collars for overhead work or more weight. Plates are fine, iron is iron, not to thick doesn’t hog barbell realestate, a couple of excess weld burs and factory lines, nothing to get upset with considering price. Wouldn’t recommend dropping weight from overhead. Perfect for most home gym settings. Would recommend overall.

I bought this to use at home due to gyms shutting down. I didn't realise they only came as a single set so order 2 or else you will have to be like me and great creative on the training now it's all sold out! Quality is fine to me, does the job, weighs 20kg, what more could you want.

The weight plates coating and burrs in the hole of the plates prevents some plates from being loaded onto the bar. I had two plates that I am unable to load due to this. Be sure to check the plates fit before leaving the store.

Over priced for the quality

A few issues with manufacturing, the holes in the plates are 3mm larger then the bar resulting in the plates being very lose. Then the way the spring clamps hold the plates on results in the plates and clips moving and becoming lose. For the price I would expect plates machined to the right size for the bar.

The ad said “dumbbell set”. Box arrived and it’s 1 dumbbell. Very misleading. And $100 for a dumbbell is way too much.

Lucky they were on stock

Wouldn’t buy again. Too wide to do anything with. Grip isn’t thick enough. I’m waiting on the spring clip to let go. Cannot recommend. (Unless everywhere is sold out and lockdowns as per my case)

Quality equipment for a home gym

I recommend the Olympic size if you are creating an entire home gym. More expensive although great quality and security with the Olympic size. If this is a temporary gym (new years resolution only) I recommend a cheaper set.

Great for travel or an adjustable set at home

We travel a lot for work and I bought these to continue my strength training in the Motel room. I e got bands too but it’s great to have actual free weights. I use the hexagon type dumbbells at home and these handles are larger and a bit unwieldy compared to them but you get used to it. I love that they use Olympic plates as I also use them for my EZY Curl bar and Full Olympic bar so I get more use of my existing plates. The collars spin like a normal Olympic bar. I bought the quick release clamps to make the frequent changes easier and used them at home for a practice session and they were great. So if you want a travel set or even an adjustable set at home, especially if you already own some plates then I think these are great. Very happy with this purchase!

It’s what I had hoped for

Very happy with the customisability and build of the dumbbell. Wanted a dumbbell that will last me a while for increasing weight levels over time, and with a max weight of 20kg it will last me a solid two years maybe. I wish they disclosed the exact weight of the dumbbell bar, it seems to be about 2.5-3kg, but they don’t really say exactly. Only gripe is that the bar is quite long so it can be unwieldy to move. The weights can feel a bit loose and spin around a bit as well.
