Perfect for short hikes when I don’t need a lot of gear.

Shipping was too slow, it arrived late I had a hard time using the mouthpiece, the water wouldn’t come through, which was very frustrating when on my 7h hike…

Camelbak has always created the best in water packs. I still rock the mule form the past because it rules. Siked for a smaller pack. I use this hydropak for skiing and it fits under my jacket perfectly! Let it snow❄️

Compared to previous models, accessing the bladder on this Hydrobak is difficult to say the least. Once you unzip the bladder access area, you them have to detach the retention strap then pull the bladder out of the bladder area far enough to unscrew the lid. Once you've filled the bladder, you then screw the cap back on, push the bladder back into the storage area and reattach the retention strap to keep the bladder from falling into the bottom of the bladder compartment. Don't even think about trying to quickly refill the Hydrobak at an aid station during a race - it isn't happening. Overall, another example of what can happen when someone over-engineers a product that works fine as-is.

Both me and my roommate

Both me and my roommate purchased this same Camelbak before a 3 day music festival, and both of ours leaked around the cap seal from the first fill up. We were soaked and had to get refills more often. Very disappointed in this product and this brand. The fit and look of the product were fine, however.

I am so happy with this Camelbak. I used it for an 8 mile hike and still had a little water left. It was lightweight and worked perfectly.

It leaks

I might be a newbie or maybe I got a defective one. It does all the job but the leaking part. Every time I fill it up, it leaks badly on the even when I turn it left first to hear that click before I turn it to the right to close. I’d gladly give a 5 star when I fix this issue.

Works well but could use a better hose clip. Magnetic would be nice. I would be willing to pay more for that feature.

Hydrobak 50

With the original tube the length was to short to use on my dirt bike while wearing safety equipment (29"), The new hose that Camelbak sent me is 39" long which will be perfect. I still don't care for the new 45 degree mouth piece over the old 90 degree. I think it is because the fatter hose is not as flexible like the thinner hose was and easier to bend.

Light and good fitting pack

This is a perfect pack for my 15-30 mile bicycle rides. Good quality and well built. With a filled hydration pack (1.5L) and small items such as cellphone, wallet and snacks stored in the zippered pocket I could hardly feel the weight on my back.

Hiking hydration pack

Works perfectly well. Nice quality. The gasket on the cap was not on the cap when received and hard to install. I think the valve that one bites to suck up the water is hard to open. Maybe needs a break in time? Overall happy with the product.

Great pack for shorter hikes!

I have the DayStar which is great for full day hikes but wanted something for those shorter adventures. This works great, super light, 1.5 L of water and has a nice pocket for keys/phone/snacks.

So Disappointed!

This is my first CamelBak product. The quality is excellent, however, the fit is terrible. This must be meant for a smaller framed person. The sternum strap rides up and presses against my throat. Really uncomfortable. I've tried adjusting it, but have not found a way to improve the fit. I'm 5' 11", 180 lbs. I disappointed as I was hoping to use this for short hikes and bike rides. Just not going to work.

Perfect build quality especially for my low to medium distance/intensity running It just needs some kind of strap holder.

Using for off-road motorcycle, hose could be a little longer and maybe a hook on left side shoulder harness, keeping right hand on throttle, drinking with left. Still a very good product, like

Uncomfortable

This is my first camelbak, i ride mtb. Doesn’t quite fit without either choking me or cutting off arm circulation. I’ve tried adjusting this thing every way possible and the straps are either sliding up around my throat (very uncomfortable and distracting) or cutting off circulation to my arms (fingers start to tingle). The pack design is perfect for water and able to store my large iphone 11 pro max but the straps are bad enough for me to get another pack. I will still stick with camelbak but not this design. Im 6 ft 190 lbs with average build so it cant be just me.

Need a SUP division

I was looking for an option for long distance paddle boarding. The strap location will make that impossible. The water tube should have a neoprene sleeve. This would allow user to wire the valve in a hands free position. In races you can’t let go to get access to H2o! I like the size but unfortunately it will only be used on land!

Fits the need

Running in the park with the dog, need water half way of 6 miles for the dog. Pocket for collapsible bowl is perfect and so is quantity of water. Comfort is off a bit, but lightweight is what is needed.
