I did mess up on the assembly and got part of the stand assembled backwards at first, so take the time to assemble slowly and not rush.

I'm having issues with weights falling off the end of the bar - it's gotten a little better as the product "breaks in" but is still a concern and I have to check both sides each time I use the product. My hardwood floor is now damaged due to a falling weight.

I purchased the 552 dumbbells several years ago, and last year I purchased the kettlebell. I wanted to make a range of motion change so I purchased the 2080 barbell. I have been working out with it for two weeks now and already see the change in strength, and muscle mass in new locations. Particularly in the shoulder area. Very happy with my choice. I have had to make several repairs to my Bowflex Elite Plus over the years, cables, roller seat, handle sets. I can't tell you how much it means to me. I believe Bowflex has added years to my life, and kept me engaged with strength training. I have moved four times since I purchased it. It is always the first thing to go, and the first thing to get set up. Thank you guys for the change you made in my life.

Loving (and actually using) the SelectTech 2080 barbell set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the SelectTech 2080 on alternate days for strength training. It sits easily accessible in my apartment on the optional stand. (I also got the weight upgrade.). Weight selection is easy, construction is solid. I use it standing (deadlift, etc.) and on the (Bowflex) bench that sits next to it. Adds variety to my workouts (I also have the Selecttech 552 dumbbells, which are also great, and a MaxTrainer). The adjustable barbell's greatest virtue: easily accessible, easy to adjust weight, and easy to use - making me more likely to actually use it and workout more often. Thanks, Bowflex for a great product for my fitness goals.
