  • At least 50% of the shoes main upper is constructed using recycled materials
  • Sockliner is produced using a process that reduces carbon emissions by 45% and water usage by 33% compared to standard processes

  • FF BLAST™ PLUS midsole technology creates softer landings and an energised sensation at toe-off
  • FF TURBO™ cushioning technology is super-lightweight and maximises rebound for that Raceday ready feeling

great shoe, great protection, bounce and grip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it is a great shoe for what I want to do: trail running with fairly big rocky soil but also humid slippery soil. What I like is they are wide enough to allow me two thin pairs of socks in winter without touching the end, nor having to take a bigger size, while they can also be strapped narrower for 1 pari of socks. They are breathing on top. If you want to protect against rain, you can impermeabalise them to quite a degree I think. The stack is quite high, which protects well in rocky environment, but they could be slightly broader in the front for more stability. They bounce really well and allow speeds comparable to Gel-nimbus.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light, grippy. Close to ideal shoes so far. However, I would like to have more foot support. The price tag is very steep too.

Cushioning and grip issues solved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This time of year, I need a shoe for club cross country training on a parkland course that gets muddy and slippy as the season progresses. Other years, I used road shoes but they had poor grip OR trail shoes that felt heavy and non-responsive. These shoes give me the benefit of both types - great cushioning and great grip

Yes, I recommend this product.

My new favourite race trail shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these - exactly what I was looking for. Trail is tricky as there are so many surface types that might require a different type of shoe. I was after a shoe for a trail run as part of a Middle-distance duathlon. These were ideal. The surface was a mix of foot paths, fields and gravel paths with some pretty muddy sections too. I was concerned that the lug depth and stack height might give these less traction and less stability but I have to say they faired incredibly well. The stack height is high for a trail shoe, it feels like the Paris that I run with on the road, it's cushioned and you get a nice pop and roll still that comes into its own on the firmer section. Yes, given the higher stack height I was more careful about placement and avoiding obstacles that might create a more unstable footing but I didn't have any issues at all and the traction seemed to stick even in the muddy sections so I was very impressed. Overall, a great addition and really pleased with how they performed on the day.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had carbon plated shoes before and was slightly nervous almost! However these are just amazing, the plate doesn’t compromise the comfort one bit! These are mega bouncy and responsive but also really stable! As someone who prefers trail running, these are a must!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Carbon on trails, exceeded all my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant with the idea of using a carbon shoe on the technical trails due to the lack of flex in the shoe. Being a mid pack runner, I couldn't reap the benefits with wearing the 'MetaSpeed Sky'. I put my bias aside and headed over to the technical terrains in Chamonix, France for a test drive during UTMB week. The shoe has the DNA of ASICS's 3 recent shoes; MetaSpeed Sky (design), FujiSpeed (upper mesh) and FujiLite 5 (toe guard). Once I got the feel of the shoe it was a very fun shoe to run in amongst the unforgiving terrain and loose rocks. The toe off on climbs felt very light and responsive. The flex wasn't an issue at all as the handling felt very good as it connects to the ground very well wrapping around bigger and loose stones, it hugs the corners of downhill switch backs very well too. Now to my favourite part, when you find that 'sweet spot' on the long single tracks you do feel a bit of a boost in the legs, this is where the propulsion kicks in. What I struggled with was the grip, it didn't feel aggressive enough and got a bit of surprise when it couldn't grip on to loose pine needles on descents. Also the thin mesh didn't give enough protection for the rocks. Otherwise this would have been a perfect shoe. Would still have to think twice about taking this out for longer distances on rougher terrains but as bag drop shoe swap this would work very well.

Yes, I recommend this product.
