The Continental™ Rubber outsole and lugged tread maintain secure footing across roots and rocks, wet or dry.

Solid everyday trainer or racer

These are solid shoes. My first few runs in them were so so, but I have learned to really love them, mostly due to the responsive foam. I would classify them as a super trainer for trails. The only drawback to these shoes is the upper - I highly recommend doing a heel lock with the laces to keep your heel locked down, or else these shoes feel like the wont stay on quite right (many others concur). With the heel lock I can get over the upper enough to really really enjoy the good traction and very springy responsive foam.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I picked these up to use them as a light trail shoe for offroading and doing (shorter) hikes with my family. Having a minimal trail runner with good traction is a great shoe in these situations. Traction is fantastic and they have a pretty close fit while being quite light. I like the shoe a lot, but managed to put a huge gouge in the midsole using them 3 days in Moab (I believe on the Tower Arch 4x4 lot trail in Arches National Park). I plan on keeping on wearing them, but expect them to not hold up for that long.
