As someone who juggles long-distance running, gym sessions, and commuting with a busy daily schedule, I’ve been through more backpacks than I’d like to admit. But after using the 2XU Commute Backpack for a few months now, I can honestly say—it’s been a game changer. Durability & Build: The first thing that stood out to me was how tough the shell is. I throw it around pretty carelessly—into lockers, under desks, on concrete—and it barely shows any wear. The materials feel premium and solid, and I never worry about it ripping or soaking through in bad weather. It’s not technically waterproof, but it’s definitely water-resistant enough to handle Melbourne's unpredictable rain. Comfort on the Move: This thing is comfortable. The padded shoulder straps sit really well, even when I’m carrying running shoes, a change of clothes, water bottle, and a laptop. The molded back panel and chest strap give it great structure. It fits under airplane seats and doesn't look or feel over-the-top like some hiking packs. Around 20–25L capacity is just right for how I use it. My Only Minor Gripe: It doesn’t have a waist strap, which would’ve helped for longer carries with heavier loads. But to be fair, I rarely feel like it’s missing unless I’m completely overstuffed. Also, while the back padding is comfortable, on really hot days I do sweat under it a bit—but that’s to be expected with most packs. Final Thoughts: The 2XU Commute Backpack has legit become my daily go-to. It’s sleek, tough, well-organised, and works whether I’m heading to training, work, or just need something reliable for a trip. Spent a lot time looking for a backpack that was suitable for Uni, a combo of functionality and form. This is the one! Slim line yet packs all I need, and has the sturdy separate pocket for laptop. It looks great and fits perfectly.
