It is my first time using this whistle and it is amazing!! This whistle has been recommended by so many people and everything they say is true about it!! It is light to run around with and nice and loud. I recommend this hustle to anyone who is looking for one.

The Thunderer whistle is the preferred whistle to be used at the netball association in Perth hills that my girls are a part. It produces the right quality sound and the finger grip is very comfortable for use from start to finish of a game.

As an AFL community umpire my whistle is important. A great item and best used after wetting or soaking the pea in/with water. Last ones average life span was a single football season but there are a lot of whistle blasts in AFL.

The cover over the mouthpiece was a little larger than my old whistle, which took a bit of adjusting to be able to put it in my mouth at short notice, although is now good

Acme 477 Thunderer 58.5 Whistle is a very high quality whistle. it comes with grips for the handles and rubber cover for the mouth piece. only flaw is that the rubber they give you for the mouth piece stretches and you will lose it eventually. I like the rubber as the metal mouth piece can hurt if you place the whistle in the wrong part of your mouth eg into your teeth. other than this it is sound whistle and will last you many years.

Bought for my son who was chosen as a junior umpire to travel to Melbourne and umpire at AFL Grand Final half-time Auskick kid's game. It proved a good purchase because despite the noise at the MCG from the huge crowd and the excitement of the kids on the ground, the whistle was loud and easy to hear for them. it is a comfortable fit and has a little cover to keep it in good condition which is a bonus.
