Running provides me with the perfect break from my studies. I love the simplicity behind it, how it requires not much, just a supportive pair of shoes. My major personal goal with running is to improve my long distance since I've always been a sprinter. I love the meditative headspace that comes over me every time I jog around this stunning landscape we have here on the Sunshine Coast. I truly feel inspired by the natural surroundings. The sound of birds, the warm sunrise on my face, the peace, the view of the seemingly endless ocean and the happy faces walking their joyful fluffy dogs. It is all so inviting, uplifting and refreshingly unique, every day. My favourite running track is along the Coolum Boardwalk. It's my favourite out of many spots up here because of the variety of the view. One might think it's just the ocean, but really, it's many different surf spots, each affected by slightly different conditions. There's also this perfect hill for hill sprints and parts of it hang right over the shore.

Find your people. Find your way. Find your fast.
Running makes me feel alive. It keeps my mental and physical connected. When I run, I continue to build resilience through its highs and lows and when I do this I feel powerful and growth. I've learnt that no matter how many times I criticise myself and my running experience or compare myself to other runners it's my journey that matters. It's how I do me that matters. That's why finding your WAY is finding your fast. When you provide a space for people to feel a sense of belonging you are opening the door to endless opportunities. At Run Club we know every person who steps through the door has a personal journey but as a collective we come together, and we are one for that time. We set out together, we lift together, and we achieve together. We are one.

Running is my reason. The reason I get up first thing in the morning. The reason I got through the toughest days and the reason behind my best days. The reason I know when the head, heart and body work together anything is possible. When you find people who share this reason, you create a community, A community that works together to left each other up and achieve the impossible.

I have a love hate relationship with running.
I dread the thought of it but chase the feeling of when it's over. It's more of a mental game for me than anything. I know I have the physical ability to do it but it's just about getting out there and getting it done. Once I hit the pavement, I can't stop. I have a certain distance I want to run and nothing else matters. When I can see I have hit my final kilometre it's time to turn it up. I can feel the end is near and I leave nothing in the tank. The lungs burn, the calves ache but I need to get to the end. Every time it's a challenge. Every time I accomplish something and that's why I run. My three tips to improving your running include a good soundtrack, scenic views and appropriate clothing and shoes.

For someone that is normally very performance driven in all aspects of life, running for me has always been about the feeling. It's about the feeling of runner's high after each run, rather than my rate of recovery. The sense of each run feeling easier, rather than timing my efforts. And most importantly, enjoying how my body is feeling during the run and enjoying every stride. Having a good pair of runners like the Nike Pegasus 38 not only supports me in the ways that I need when I run, but knowing that they're there in my cupboard also motivates me to get it done because they make my job easier and much more enjoyable.

I'm 27 years old and have loved running for as long as I can remember! From breaking records at school carnivals on the track and cross-country events, to Australian titles and International events on the beach sprinting track, to fun runs and half marathons; I've pursued running competitively and forever leisurely! I'm a founding Barry's Australia instructor so I coach running every day for a living and nothing makes me happier than helping others reach new speeds, hit PB's, and see them finish a run with a smile on their face! Running is so magical, and I don't ever want to imagine my life without it! It has the power to transform a bad day into a good day, stress into speed, self-doubt into confidence! Running makes me feel alive, happy and free! I run for how it makes me feel!

I run to clear my mind, for my mental health and to feel strong. To me, it's a feeling of freedom and a place where I forget all the little worries of everyday life. It took me a little while to get used to, but I love pushing myself to go that extra mile, and in the Nike Pegasus 38s I can run with confidence and comfort.
