Tippah: PUMA's comfort, grip, and cushioning make me feel fast and agile when I'm on the court.

Q: What is a typical day of netball training for you?
Tippah: A typical training day for me is to get up in the morning, strap, and get ready for training. I start by going to the post and getting some shots up, then doing some activations and warming up my body. After that, we go through our routine which includes footwork, team drills, and a little match play, and then cool down and go to the gym in the afternoon.
Jemma: A training day starts early with the most important run of the day… the coffee run, before heading to the courts. Training usually includes netball drills, conditioning, and going to the gym. After training, I like to head out to breaky with some of the girls, before heading to appointments or work. As soon as I get home, I start working on dinner or uni and then try to relax before going to bed.
Q: What are your tips for staying on top of your game?
Tippah: My top tip would be to make sure you have a balanced lifestyle, so you can be in a high-performance environment and enjoy training. However, you've got to know when to wind down and relax and take your mind off the game.
Jemma: Make sure you get in a sleep routine because that is the best way to recover! Also, make sure you drink plenty of water.
Q: Who was your favourite netballer growing up?
Tippah: Nat Medhurst used to be my favorite netball player growing up. She played for the Diamonds and looked fearless on the court.
Jemma: Renae Ingles.
Q: What is your favourite netball career moment so far?
Tippah: I’d say it would have to be my debut game in Super Netball. Even though I had no expectations of me to perform, I jumped at the opportunity and gave it my all.
Jemma: For me, it was when I debuted for the Queensland Firebirds in 2017. It was an incredible feeling.
Q: What are your passions off-the-court?
Tippah: Off the court, my greatest passion is traveling. Whether I'm going overseas or just having a good staycation for the weekend, I love discovering and exploring new places.
Jemma: Aside from netball, one of my passions is working in Diversity and Inclusion for Netball Queensland and mentoring young people of First Nations descent.
Q: Do you have any advice for young netballers aspiring to make it to the top level?
Tippah: Enjoying the game and having fun is the most important thing, because that is when you play your best netball! And take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way!
Jemma: My advice would be to keep having fun and don’t let the pressure get the best of you.
