The Melbourne Football Club are a club revitalised with a new brand and a new outlook over the last few years. As such, it's perhaps expected that training is a little different. It's focused on youth development, according to Melbourne Football Club's Bernie Vince.
"We're just looking to get better," Vince said. "We've got one of the youngest squads in the competition, so just developing our younger guys."
The training doesn't just benefit the younger players, with Vince admitting even he was feeling improvement under the current regime.
"I'm actually one of the older guys in our team now, so it makes me feel old, but I'm getting better each week," he said.
As one of the longer serving members on the squad, Vince also has a unique say in how the club trains, with a focus on improving their current playing stock.
"I certainly play a mentor role to some of the younger guys and I'm in the leadership group as well," he said.
"So I play a role in what training looks like and where we're going as a footy club."
